Ever wonder how our fragrances are created?
It all starts with an idea that is brought to life by our perfumers,
known in the industry as the “nose.”
Learn all about Loc Dong: the “nose” behind
Love to the Fullest by Reese witherspoon.
Creating exclusive fragrances for Avon is part of
Loc Dong’s destiny. The world-renowned perfumer
was born with fragrance in his genes. Dong’s earliest
fragrance memories involve being a child in Vietnam,
following around his grandfather—a medicinal herbalist—
and smelling the many fragrant plants he used in his
practice. At age 11, Dong fled his war-torn country for
the U.S., where he eventually studied to be a perfumer.
He joined International Flavors & Fragrances as a
perfumer in 2002. Today, the award-winning “nose” draws
on his rich cultural past as inspiration for his fragrant
masterpieces (his long list includes U by Ungaro).
His unique perfumer’s palette drives him to meld
contrasting elements to create some of the world’s
most beautiful scents. His latest creation,
Love to the Fullest is a perfect example of
Dong’s vibrant and elegant style of perfumery.
