    PLaIn dutch weaVes

Plain Dutch weaves are a key feature of GKD filter meshes.

closed mesh surfaceThe meshes are manufactured in plain weave pattern (1/1), whereby the warp wires are interwoven with wider spaces than the weft wires. The surface of the plain dutch weaves is closed so that the filtration occurs at the point where warp and weft join.

high mechanical stabilityUnlike the square meshes, this results in a considerably higher grade of mechanical stability. The types, which are available from stock cover the majority of the meshes required in industrial filtration. These meshes are used, for example, in drum filters, nutsch-type filters, cartridge filters and vertical pressure leaf filters. Stainless steels 304 (1.4301), 316 (1.4401) and 904L (1.4539) are materials kept in stock.
