GMR Institute of Technology (GMRIT) is a well-known autonomous
engineering college established in 1997 affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru
Technological University, Kakinada operated by the GMR Varalakshmi
Foundation – the CSR arm of GMR Group. The semi-residential college
is located in a serene and beautiful campus spanning 160 acres, at
Rajam, about 100 KM from Vizag, Andhra Pradesh.

1. Initiated Cohesive Teaching Learning Practices (CTLP) to promote learner centric
environment as well as in line with Outcome Based Education (OBE) Ranked 39th
among top 100 Engineering colleges in the country and 24th among the Private
Engineering colleges by Data Quest-CMR, April 2019.
