Pizza Cupcakes
Ingredients
1 Large Ball of Pizza Dough 2 C. Sauce ¾ C-‐1C. Parmesan/Romano Mix 2 C. Shredded Mozzarella 1 Lb. Ground Sausage (Browned) Fresh Basil Flour (For Dusting Surface) Salt (to taste) Freshly Ground Black Pepper (to taste) Vito & Joe’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil
How to Prepare
Preheat oven to 450º. Flour surface. Lightly flour dough to prevent any sticking. Stretch and roll dough until it is a large rectangle. Lightly drizzle Vito & Joe’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil over dough and spread across dough. Leave the short edges uncovered with oil so you can stick them together at the end. Lightly salt and pepper dough to taste. Cover dough with sauce; still taking care to leave the short edges uncovered. Sprinkle sausage over the dough, followed by the cheese. Break up some fresh basil leaves and place over the cheese. Roll the dough and press dough to seal.
Spray large muffin tray with olive oil spray. Using a sharp knife cut the pizza roll into slices as thick as your muffin tin is deep. Put pizza slices into muffin tin. Bake at 450º for 10-‐15 minutes. Let cool 5-‐6 minutes before removing from pan. Serve with sauce, fresh grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
