Access Point Optimum M4240 Information About Docking Station An optional docking station (Standard) is available for the Optimum M4240 terminal. The docking station provides a convenient and stable place to store and re-charge your terminal. When the terminal is placed on the docking station, normal operation can continue while the battery is being charged, with no interruption of service. It can also be used to pair one terminal to a Bluetooth access point. Note: All power and communication cables must be removed from a terminal before placing it on a docking station. Optimum M4240

The Optimum M4240 Bluetooth Terminal Installation Guide provides basic setup information. Your device also comes pre-installed with a Lithium Ion Battery Module (7.4V - 1.88Ah). Once fully charged, the battery can complete more than 200 transactions before requiring another charge.Note: Charge the battery for 2-4 hours before initial use of the terminal. Charging indicator turns green when terminal battery is fully charged.

The Optimum M4240 requires at least one access point to communicate successfully. See the Accessories Available section for more information or contact your Hypercom Sales Associate for specific options and regional availability.

Turn the terminal over. Remove the battery by squeezing the inset on the right side of battery (as shown).

Remove and discard the plastic covering surrounding the battery. Re-insert the battery.Note: Connect power and charge battery 2-4 hours before Power On. Indicator light turns green when fully charged.

Insert A/C Power Adapter into POWER port (as shown). Insert other end of the Power Cord into the wall receptacle. Battery starts to charge.

Turn the terminal over. To Power On/Off the terminal, press and hold the blue FUNCTION key until you hear a beep (approximately 5 seconds).
