Walking in Pivot Animation’s is essential. It is utilized in most animations so learning how to properly execute a walking animation is key in your Pivot success. This following tutorial will teach you the skills to make your stick figures walk.

The first thing to do is get your stick man in proper position.

The planted forward leg should always be straight

Small movements are key

In this frame we move the planted leg back slightly, while the other leg bends slightly and the foot starts to push off

More of the same here though the legs are bent a little more off the ground

Make sure the arms move in sync with one another

This frame you basically continue the motion from the previous one

The planted leg continues to move back

Little or no arm movements are required here

Just move the legs, without bending

The planted leg continues to move

The arms finally move out a bit
