Jessica SchottPraying before every class has helped to remind me to stop and thank God for every-thing he has given me.

Nicole BirkelThe Fall Retreat sophomore-senior year had a huge impact on me. I loved how every-one piled into one room for adoration. The atmosphere was incredible and it was a great experience!

Seth PollockIt has shown me that when I struggle & things get hard God will always be there to help me get back up & stay strong.

Ally BeckerPius offers so many ways to become closer to God. I went on the fall retreat 3 times and a TEC retreat my junior year. They all were great and made my relationship with God a lot stronger! It has been a blessing going to Catholic school my whole life and having God involved in my school day.

Theresa ChambersI love being able to go to God with any trou-bles I have in my everyday life, whether it’s a stressful class or trouble with my friends. Luckily the chapel is always available!

Caroline TheilMy education in theology classes has taught me how to be a better friend and example to others. Pius has given me the opportunity to fall in love with Jesus and help others with their spiritual journeys.

Vincent NguyenMy faith has grown deeply with this educa-tion. Praying before every class has shown me that everyday it is a blessing to be able to learn again and everything on this earth is God’s beautiful creation.

Cecilia MinchowBeing blessed to go to a Catholic High School has taught me to take my faith into my own hands and to bring Christ into everything I do. From being able to defend my own faith to being my motivation before I step onto a stage, Christ is behind everything I do. My faith is not a bunch of rules my parents tell me to follow, it’s a relationship with my best friend who will never leave my side.

Justine OcampoFaith has impacted my eduction at Pius so much I can’t even put it into words. I love being able to come to a catholic school everyday and know that I have support in growing in my faith in all my classes. When school gets hard I’ve learned to “Let Go and Let God” and have Him be in the center of all things!

Honoria ClarkeMy faith has impacted my ed-ucation on many ways. It has helped my calm my nerves and anxieties, and helped to bring me to and understand that grades aren’t everything.

Emily CastilloMy education at this school enabled me to grow in my faith everyday. Since Pius has a chapel, every student is able to stop in and thank God for his constant blessings. Our theology classes are also such a great way to impact our education through our faith filled theology classes.

Patricia ThompsonThrough theology classes, fall retreats, and TEC, I have grown closer to God and the catholic faith. Without those opportunities, my faith wouldn’t have grown as much.

Abby SullivanPius X has allowed me to grow deeper in my relationship with Jesus through the many opportunities we are offered daily. I went on TEC my senior year, which really strength-ened my Faith. I have been so blessed with going to a Catholic school for 12 years.

Jacob SloupIt helps keep a moral compass when the rest of the world is falling flat.

Sam CoyMy education has impacted my faith because I was taking theology every year and I got to learn new things about the Catholic faith and stay active in it. Also, the priests were very fun and were very open to helping and educating me through my daily faith life.

Killian O’Shea-CrealHigh school is a hard time faith-wise so my Faith has been on and off throughout the years but the past few months I’ve finally began to make it my own again.

Carly JohnsonMy faith has allowed me to focus on the mo-rality of situations, and look deeper into an issue rather than focus what is on the surface.

From the Class of 2018: How has your faith impacted your education, or how has your education impacted your faith?

Since I did not go to a Catholic elementary school or middle school I was not as close to God as I feel like I am now. I’m grateful for having the op-portunity for attending school at Pius and grow in my faith.

Lesslie Curiel

My faith has always held a central role in my education since I have always been in a Catholic school, but never did I grow closer to God then I did at Pius. My time at Pius has shown me that I’m at my happiest when I’m close to God, no matter what else is going on in my life.
