Magee Women’s Hospital“I am over the moon inlove!”

Nixon �eatre (August Wilson Center)“ I worked here in 1953-1954. It was a nice place to work. We needed to put up all the seats when the shows were done. My girlfriend and I could go upstairs and do our homework. �e nuns didn’t like that we worked there because some of the shows were a bit risqué.”

Brewhhouse Association“We need to build new systems, make room for new ways to move this country forward. It’s an amazingly unique coun-try.It’s not just an exhibition. It’s an invitation to examine these things."

Syria Mosque (Pittsburgh Athletic Association)I had a student membership in a Sunday afternoon series the whole time I was there. It’s probably whereI �rst saw Islamic orna-ments, coming froma small town in NJ. I was there 1960-64.”

Allegheny General Hospital“�e boys were born here.”

Omar Khayyam (Khalil’s)“a Middle Eastern restaurant that I would go to with fellow students only on very special occasions. My initiation into exotic food, having grown up on 1950s American. It was lush with carpets and drapedtextiles, dark. �e food was fabulous!”
