PC The PC Series Piston Seal is a compact double acting piston seal designed for a one piece piston construction. The PC Piston Seal provides effective sealing at both low pressure and low temperature. It is ideally suited for high pressure capabilities in heavy duty and long stroke cylinder applications. This seal is often referred to as a “zero drift” piston seal due to its robust design and positive sealing performance.

The PC Piston Seal is a four piece assembly comprising of a self-lubricating wear resistant PTFE seal ring, which is uniformly loaded by a low temperature nitrile rubber energizer. Split Nylon anti-extrusion backup rings fully support the seal ring from high pressure extrusion and provide added contamination protection. Due to the integrated backup ring design, larger than normal piston clearance can be utilized allowing for additional wear ring bearing exposure, thereby eliminating metal-to-metal piston contact with the cylinder tube during heavy side loading.

The PC Piston Seal can be utilized in a variety of demanding hydraulic cylinders requiring high reliability and long life performance, which is particularly suited for earth moving and other mobile equipment applications. The product range consists of industry standard sizes to accommodate imperial (inch) dimensioned housings.

T40 Bronze Reinforced PTFE (PC9-12000 to PC9-15000) Other material options are available upon request.

Extrusion Gaps
