Pique Newsmagazine has a rare opportunity for you a talented, committed journalist to cover the happenings of a world-class resort as a news writer and assistant editor. This position is also responsible for the generation, curation and production of Pique's weekly features.

You are passionate about news, you know what makes a compelling local story and how to craft it and present it, you have a proven track record of self-generating story ideas and demonstrable skill in managing other writers. You are a positive ambassador for your team and for your profession. You seek to engage and inform your community in whatever platform they want to use print, online or mobile and are an enthusiastic participant in social media. You also know the mechanics of newspaper layout and can drive InDesign and Photoshop skillfully and efficiently. Ideally you also have at least two years experience at the community media level as an assisstant/acting editor, or four years covering news and writing features, but if everything weve asked for here applies to you except this, dont let that stop you from applying.
