Backwaters in association with X Direct present Pips ‘n’ Profits, the ultimate

international trading simulation event - the most comprehensive trading

simulation contest you would have ever experienced! Trade in virtually

every instrument that exists on the bourses - currencies, commodities,

equities, indices and futures across major world stock and commodity

markets, on real time quotes. Trade on X Direct’s celebrated trading platformused by millions of professional traders and hundreds of corporate clients

REGISTRATION PROCESS

• All participants are required to register at www.iimkbackwaters.com as a

first step.

• After registering for Backwaters ‘12 at www.iimkbackwaters.com; theparticipants have to register themselves through the online event registration

portal for the event Pips ‘n’ Profits on the Backwaters website.

• A trading account user ID and password will be mailed to the e-mail address,

which the participant submits during registration. This will be sent one day

prior to the main contest.



RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. This is an individual event. Only one member per team .

2. The event is online and will last for one full trading week, 5th - 9th Nov 2012

3. There will be a practice round for two days from 1st -2nd Nov 2012 for participants to get

acclimatized to the trading platform. The practice round’s portfolio value is

inconsequential for the final standings.

4. The event is declared open to all currently enrolled college students in any

bachelor or masters/post-graduate degrees across the world.

5. Participants should possess a valid college identity card.

6. Login information will be made available to registered participants only.

7. The X Direct trading platform would be browser based and can be used with any browser

and any operating system. Real time market prices will be used.

8. Based on change in portfolio value at the end of each day a daily winner will be

announced.

9. EOD timings for the trading days are listed out separately.

10. Based on the portfolio value at the end of 5 days final winners will be announced.

11. The exact list of instruments made available for the contest will be sent to the

registered participants on or before 29th October 2012.12. The Terms and Conditions of participation are subject to change at any time without

specific notice. The amended Terms and Conditions of entry will be effective immediately

upon being posted on the website. It is the sole responsibility of the teams to regularly

visit the Website to read any changes.
