Piper 1 — 2Designer

Led by Design and Marketing Director Anton Schiavello, the Schiavello Design Studio is made

up of a number of multi-disciplinary designers and makers with expertise in industrial design, fashion

design, engineering and medical design. With varying strengths and specialties, the team collectively

shares experiences from in and around the furniture industry and brings its expertise to newly developed

Schiavello products.

Maintaining thoughtful, innovative and research-driven outlooks on design trends, the

Schiavello Design Studio has been the driving force behind a number of the company’s most successful designs. Some of the team’s most notable concepts include Krossi in 2013 – the first and only Australian

made and designed sit/stand desk – and the pioneering Climate workplace system in 2010, which

is still one of the most malleable products of its kind. In addition, the studio continues to develop

Schiavello’s furniture offering, catering to changing typology trends, business and people needs and

technology requirements, while maintaining product quality, longevity, effortless visual appeal and

environmental sustainability.

SCHIAVELLO DESIGN STUDIO

Piper is responsive and malleable, able to be built upon like building blocks to create myriad clusters, shapes and configurations, designed to support the most diverse working and learning environments.Boasting utmost flexibility, the

workstation can be turned from a linear desk into a T-shape table, a corner table, a group work table, an L-shape table or a collection of clusters to suit modern working needs. It is also available in a 120º layout option.

Designed for modern workplace landscapes, Piper provides a modest and coherent aesthetic for working, meeting, training, and learning settings – resulting in a complete and comprehensive interior layout.

The workstation is visually light, with strong, steel legs that create little visual ‘noise’. Meanwhile, a minimal

understructure allows for maximum leg room, storage space and the addition of further desking accessories such as cable reticulation solutions, keeping the workspace tidy.

Minimal wastage is created during the production of Piper, thanks to the desk being designed and cut from standard material sizes.

Piper 7 — 8Configurations

Configurations Piper is a part of a system that includes pieces of furniture that can stand alone, but can also be combined to create linear, back to back, corner, 90º and 120º tables, as well as standing and meeting tables. With so many configurations possible, Piper is a workstation that caters to the changing modern workspace, while remaining sturdy, strong and classic in design.

PanelsSchiavello system panels are a sturdy design built to be floor or desk-mounted and are available in a choice of fabric, PET, MDF, veneer, glass or metal.

LettricDesigned in-house by Schiavello, Lettric is a collection of various electrification options. Available in the Schiavello ColourLab powder coat range, Lettric features aluminium housing that enables personalisation and neat cable management.

Scope Accessory RailThe Scope Accessory Rail attaches to any desk via a bracket, which is screwed into the worktop. Accessories such as Scope Shelves, Modesty Panels, Privacy Panels and power outlets attach to the Accessory Rail or clamp directly to the worktop, and can easily be changed and moved with minimal tools. The sleek and lightweight design avoids the dominating aesthetics often linked to systems panels and boosts functionality by giving users freedom to maximise valuable desk real estate.

BentoKeep your desk in order with the Bento storage solution. The Bento collection includes a landscape paper tray and a container tray with five multifunctional, modular containers which can be placed within the tray or as standalone elements.

The environmental design principles realised means we design for the environment, focusing on efficient energy use and minimum emissions, longevity and durability, re-use and recycling of our products.

Our principles of ME WE (Materials, Energy, Waste Emissions) give us a simple way to think about how our operations impact the environment.

Printed on an Australian made paper stock that is PEFC Certified and made from elemental chlorine-free bleached pulp sourced from sustainably managed forests and non-controversial sources. It is manufactured by an ISO 14001 certified mill using renewable energy sources.
