Pinocchio Once a upon a time a carpenter named Geppetto built a wooden puppet and called it Pinocchio. "How wonderful it would be if it were a real boy!" he thought as he finished painting it. That night the Fairy with Turquoise Hair was listening to Geppetto and decided to fulfill his wish.

Once a upon a time a carpenter named Geppetto built a wooden puppet and called it Pinocchio. "How wonderful it would be if it were a real boy!" he thought as he finished painting it. That night the Fairy with Turquoise Hair was listening to Geppetto and decided to fulfill his wish.

And turned to the Speaking Cricket who had witnessed the scene, she said:” I name you Pinocchio’s guide and counsellor” and, before disappearing she promised to Pinocchio that, if he behaved she would transform him into a real boy. Geppetto was extremely happy when he discovered that his puppet could move and speak.

The next morning he sent him to school: “Have a good day my son, come back soon!” As Pinocchio was disobedient, he immediately went to the show of Mangiafuoco the puppeteer instead. Mangiafuoco promised Pinocchio to make him famous. So Pinocchio had great fun in singing and dancing with the other puppets.

But, as soon as the show was over Mangiafuoco locked Pinocchio in a cage with the other puppets; Pinocchio was desperate, but suddenly, there appeared the Fairy with Turquoise Hair who asked him: “Why didn’t you to school?”Pinocchio answered with a lie and his nose immediately started to get long. Only when he said the truth the Fairy with Turquoise Hair brought Pinocchio’s nose back as it was

Mangiafuoco, who had listened him crying, decided to free Pinocchio and gave him five gold coins recommending him to say hallo to the good Geppetto. Pinocchio was very happy, he accepted the money and went home.

On the way home, Pinocchio saw a diligence full of cheerful kids. The coachman told him told him that they were going to the Land of Toys, where the children could do whatever they liked. “Pinocchio come back !” The cricket told him. But the puppet didn’t listen to him.

When he arrived at the Land of Toys, he met a child called Lucignolo. They played billiard together drinking beer and smoking cigars; the Speaking Cricket saw what the puppet was doing and reproached him, but Pinocchio didn't care and went away.While he was drinking and smoking, suddenly he saw Lucignolo with donkey's ears and tail.Then Pinocchio got scared...

…..so when two long ears and a tail appeared even in him, Pinocchio ran away desperately followed by the loyal Speaking Cricket.

Together, they went back to Geppetto’s house, but they didn’t find any one.

“Who knows what happened to him…..”

In that moment, a dove gave

them a message: while

Geppetto was looking for

Pinocchio, he had been

swallowed by a whale and

now he was prisoner inside

her belly. The puppet decided

to run to save his life

When he arrived at the beach, he plunged and after he had swum for long, he managed to find his dad in the belly of the whale. But how to get out of there? Then they thought to light a great fire, so that the fire smoke made the whale sneeze and opened its mouth. Pinocchio and Geppetto escaped on a raft that they had built shortly before.

The puppet helped his father swim back home. But when he arrived on the shore he fainted for the great effort.Sadly Geppetto took Pinocchio home.But the Fairy with Turquoise Hair woke him up and as a prize for his courage and his goodness she turned into a true child!Finally, Pinocchio lived gladly and happily with his father Geppetto forever!
