MEDIA SALES REPRESENTATIVE Awarded to a sales representative or account manager from any area media outlet, including television, cable, interactive, radio, print, outdoor, transit, or out-of-home media. PRINTING/PAPER COMPANY SALES REPRESENTATIVE/ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE Awarded to a sales representative or account manager from an area printer, pre-press company, paper company, or specialty supplier. SALES MANAGER Awarded to a person holding the specific title of sales manager. Nominees may represent any area company that sells an advertising-related item (media, printing, specialty items, etc.) MEDIA DIRECTOR/BUYER Awarded to anyone holding the specific title of media director, buyer, agent, or media account manager from an area advertising agency, in-house agency, or media-buying agency/service. MARKETING DIRECTOR Awarded to the person at a company specifically holding the title of marketing director. Nominees may operate their own business or work for a larger company. INDUSTRY NEWCOMER Awarded to a professional with only one to three years’ experience in the local market. INDUSTRY CEO/PRESIDENT OF THE YEAR Awarded to an industry chief executive officer or president. Nominees may operate their own business or work for a larger company. CLIENT OF THE YEAR Awarded to the client of eligible firms or individuals (see General Requirements) that displays outstanding characteristics uncommon to the industry. Awarded at the American Advertising Federation - Baton Rouge annual ADDY ® show, a Pinnacle Award recognizes outstanding accomplishment within the advertising field and related industries. The awards were designed to enhance the awareness and professionalism of the industry and cite significant advertising contributions not directly related to the traditional “creative” sectors (copywriting, graphic design, etc.) 2010 will mark the first annual Pinnacle Awards in seven years. This year’s Pinnacles have evolved to better reflect our market composition and size, yet still achieve its goals. The awards will be held in conjunction with the ADDY ® Awards to recognize all facets of the industry in one night. Deserving individuals will be rewarded for their contribution and advancement in their respective field for the year 2009. Although sponsored by the American Advertising Federation - Baton Rouge, it is not necessary to be a member of the Federation to nominate or to be nominated for a Pinnacle. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Award nominees must be currently employed by an advertising, marketing, public relations, promotions, graphic design, media sales, printing, production, or photographic entity, or by an entity related to the advertising, marketing, and publicity fields. Nominees must work primarily in the Baton Rouge market. Nominations must include the accompanying nomination form, a nomination signature and a description of the merits and achievements of the nominee in a specific nomination category. Nominees may be entered into more than one category. Nominees must demonstrate excellence within a specific industry role. Individuals should be nominated on the basis of accomplishments from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2009. Nominees will be judged strictly on the nominations solicited through this awards process. Out-of-market industry professionals selected by the Pinnacle Awards chair will review the nominations. These judges have no prior knowledge of the nominees, and their decisions will be final. -- Nominations must be received by Monday, January 11, 2010. Back by popular demand, we are pleased to announce the reinstatement of the Pinnacle Awards to the 2010 ADDYs®! These awards recognize outstanding accomplishments within our profession not directly related to traditional "creative" advertising (copywriting, graphic design, etc.), and will once again be presented during The ADDY® Show. The Pinnacle Awards will include nine categories, competition will be stiff and the winners very deserving. Pinnacle Award Categories include: Industry Account Executive, Media Sales Representative, Printing/Paper Company Sales Representative/Account Executive, Sales Manager, Media Director/Buyer, Marketing Director, Industry Newcomer, Industry CEO/President of the Year, Client of the Year. Early bird entry deadline is December 18, 2009 and last call is January 11, 2010.
