It is time for the eighth roll out of Instincts which has become a signature event of SSN. I am very proud of the sustained effort and hard work Instincts team has been putting in each year to make this event a huge success. I am sure you will benefit greatly in organizing a mega event of this caliber and learn to work together as one team. SSN aims to be a centre of excellence in all areas – education, sports and extracurricular activities because we are committed to the all-round development of each and every student in our institution. The name Pinnacle signifies that ambition. Instincts 2013 will draw out talent and provide the perfect stage for unleashing hidden potential. I am very proud of the consistent high standard of Instincts each year and congratulate everyone who is involved in the planning and roll out process.

ABOUT OUR PRESIDENT

Ms. Kala Vijayakumar obtained her Master of Science degree with specialization in Mathematics with honors from Stella Maris College, Madras University. She has a mix of Entrepreneur, IT profession and Academic Management experience. She worked in the software development projects in HCL technologies, playing roles like programmer and team leader.

Ms. Kala Vijayakumar has been associated with SSN Institutions from the inception. She is now president of SSN Institutions. She implements the vision of the founder, Dr. Shiv Nadar by providing day-to-day management and guidance in running the institutions.

I am extremely happy that the students and staff of the SSN institutions have taken ceaseless efforts for the conduct of "INSTINCTS 2K13", the intercollegiate cultural festival. I congratulate all the students and staff on their initiative and success.

Our excellence in the academic scenario is well known nation-wide and we have been ranked one among the colleges affiliated to Anna University. The infrastructure, strength and commitment of faculty support the students in mastering their discipline and applying their knowledge in various situations, thus contributing to the welfare of the society and nation at large.

I appreciate the continual effort of students and staff to bring out the magazine, "PINNACLE" and make this event holistic. I take pleasure in thanking the Head of the departments for the motivation and support that they have extended for the successful conduct of "INSTINCTS 2K13".

ABOUT OUR PRINCIPAL

S. Salivahanan is the Principal of SSN College of Engineering, Chennai, since July 2003. He was born on Third October 1954 in Lakshmipuram, Theni district, Tamil Nadu. He obtained B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, M.E. degree in Communication Systems from NIT, Trichy and Ph.D. from Madurai Kamaraj University in the area of Microwave Integrated Circuits. He has three decades of teaching, research and industrial experience both in India and abroad.

Professor Salivahanan is the recipient of IEEE Outstanding Branch Counsellor and Advisor Award in the Asia-Pacific region for 1996-97. He is also the recipient of "Jewel of India Award" from Indian Solidarity Council, New Delhi; "Life Time Achievement Gold Medal Award" from International Institute of Education and Management, New Delhi in April 2007; and the Best Principal of the Year 2006 Award from Jaya Group of Institutions, Chennai. His name is included in the 25th Edition of Marquis Who's Who in the World 2008, USA.

In today's era of fast paced living, there simply seems to be no time to stop and smell the roses. This competitive environment has left no space to give the over-wrought mind a well-deserved break.

In this scenario, I feel happy that SSN presents, yet another power packed version of " INSTINCTS 2K13" for everyone to enjoy. The efforts involved in organizing and conducting the diverse events across all the institutions provide that period of rest which allow professionals to come back with a bang and take the challenges of the world head on. It gives me great pleasure to present my wishes for the same through the magazine "PINNACLE".

ABOUT OUR DEAN

K. Kasthuri is a native of Pollachi. He did BE in 1957. He was serving as engineer in Public Works Department for 5 years, then he joined AC College of Technology, Chennai as lecturer.

He has on an overall basis, served as lecturer, professor, Controller of Examination, Dean and retired in the year 1996.

He was the first principal of SSNCE. He has an avid interest in tamil literature, music and social work.

I am extremely happy to be associated with the eighth version of “Instincts”, the annual cultural festival of SSN College, which is to be held on 7th, 8th and 9th of March 2013. It is heartening to see that this year also, the SSNites are keeping perfect balance between academic, extra and co-curricular activities culminating in the organization of Instincts

Organizing a national cultural fest would certainly provide the students an opportunity to work in teams, to exercise their leadership quality, to take initiatives in building skills and nourishing their inherent capabilities, also to channelize their energy for constructive endeavors. I hope that instincts would be an ideal platform for that, both for the organizers and the participants.

I wish all the best to the organizers, who are working really hard to make “Instincts 2k13” a grand event.

ABOUT OUR FACULTY CONVENOR

Dr. Sunita Nair is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry. She had her M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University Teaching Department (Chemistry), Ravishankar University, Raipur (Madhya Pradesh - now Chattisgarh). She was awarded National Scholarship for doing M.Sc. She secured Gold Medal (First Rank) for securing first rank in University Examination.

Dr. Nair has 25 years of Teaching and Research experience. She received the Best Teacher Award from the College seven times. Apart from teaching at the college, Dr. Nair is also the Advisor, Student Affairs of SSN Institutions, and one of the editors of the Quarterly News Letter “Vibrations” of the Institute.

Little drops make an ocean. Making Instincts 2k13 edge towards perfect completion has been a similar experience. The never ending phone calls, meetings, organisations, triumphs and trials have been such a hectic yet enjoyable experience. We push ourselves to the maximum each day to inch closer to a day of perfection. Sponsors, letters, creativity, planning, designing, thinking - each day dedicated to Instincts has been a step closer to March 7,8 and 9.

It has been an incredible journey right from the heavy brainstorming for the theme “Colors”. After that, the tougher goal was to make everyone

come together for a clean and concise tagline. A monumental effort bringing hundreds of SSN students together through social sites helped us decide the tag “Shades of Life”.

This Instincts, we have a lot of new events in store. The highlight is our very first fashion show “The Vogue”. We’ve obviously added and improved each event based on previous experience. Continuing many of the new trends last year, we had two flash mobs this time, one at Citi Centre and the other at Towers Park. The publicity we received through those events was awesome. We had many creative ideas like an i-Doodle for every day derived from Google Doodle concept. Of-course, social networking sites and Internet have been used before, but what with new posters and designs and photographs, almost every day Instincts page had something new to offer, something to remind everyone we are happening and we are going to be bigger than ever. We hope

that the response will grow further and reach new heights.

I feel this is the moment to thank all those who have made this phenomenon possible. That has to begin with Kala ma’am, our Principal, Dean and our constant source of support, Sunitha Nair ma’am. Hats off to all co-ordinators, volunteers and juniors who contributed in their own way. A special mention to the juniors is in order. From the very beginning, starting from the kickoff, we have had an enormous response and enthusiastic energy. Keep up the good work and continue to support Instincts for years to come. Instincts would not have been possible without our sponsors, my sincere thanks to them, and I hope they continue to be with us for many Instincts’ to come.

The Content Development Board (CDB) was started last year to acknowledge the pivotal role the played by the magazine team to generate usable and deployable content. Right from the early sponsorship request letters, to writing speeches at the kick-off, the Content Development Board has been the very pulse of Instincts.

Our crowning effort has definitely been the concept, design and development of the magazine, Pinnacle, version 8. The incessant pleas for articles and poems, the depressing deadlines, the pressing need for publication, the frenzy and fury of fiery effort was simply the furnace needed to cast this magazine into this spectacular shape that your eyes can now feast upon.

This magazine we have attempted to make it more pleasing to read, with a smart design. We have also brought in loads of photographs and other additions that haven’t appeared before. Also, we have introduced a Tamil poem that was endearing to the Editors and could not be done without.

Pinnacle 8 will be released on 7 March 2k13, by our celebrity guests. We definitely would like to thank everybody involved from the contributors to the sponsors, the essential pillars upon which the magazine is founded. A very big thanks once again. All unacknowledged photographs have been taken from the Instincts page. They were the works of Sumanth Darisi and others as found on the page. We thank Pavan Kumar for his photo. While editing, we thank the invaluable support of Pavithra J and Manoj Kumar Y. Lastly, we acknowledge that the trolls were taken from the famous “SSN Trolls” and some input from “SSN TIPS” page. The CDB logo was designed by our previous batch seniors and we give a rowdy shout for their support too!

The Instincts 2k13 team – The Pillars of Purpose, The Leaders of a Legendary Event

The flagship event for Instincts 2k13 was the Kick-Off that was held on Valentine’s Day February 14 2k13. It was a day of anxiety and excitement for us seniors. Work had already begun to grow in pace. The entire nerve-wracking experience of handling the pending work, practicing how best to instill that pride we have in Instincts to the juniors, the testing in the auditorium (believe me you have no idea how the auditorium is pitch black without lights – seemed pretty much like a black omen – and then the testing began from lights) was an hour long event from 2:30 to 3:30 at the main auditorium. We wanted our juniors to be filled with awe and excitement at the quality and energy packed in every edition of Instincts.

the day couldn’t have gone better. Beginning with the Convener’s speech, introduction of all core committee members and all the team heads, the entire stage at one point held all of us, which was a sweeping magnificent moment. It was a relaxed event, we allowed the juniors to bully us, tease us, we wanted them to be at ease and not have pre-conceived notions of terror (as if!) or some misguided notions of respect. We are all SSNites for crying out loud. All of us were trying to get volunteers for their team. This was followed by the official launch of the T-shirt, logo and

website. And then, half an hour of mesmerizing videos that kept the juniors, especially the first years, awe-struck and excited. The packed hall was resounding with claps, cheers and whistles. It was a phenomenal success that helped us harness the full power of all the students cutting across all departments. It was the dawn of a new beginning.

Instincts means so many different things to different people. But the bottom-line remains, it means “something”. A day to let down your hair, a day to simply enjoy, a day to see your work come alive, a day to make everyone else feel jealous of

SSN, a day to dance, a day to live life to its fullest.

This Instincts, we are back, bigger and better than ever. We have introduced an ethnic fashion show “The Vogue” for the first time ever. We have a plethora of events to satisfy all, from the movie buffs to

the literary geniuses. Art, Musicians, Dancers, Gamers, Directors, Quizzers and Stage Lovers amalgamate at this confluence of fun at Instinct.

Apart from events, we are loaded with an extra dose of entertainment such as ProShow, Choreonite, DJ nite , Bike Stunts and what not!

These three days are going to be unforgettable.

DREAMS VS REALITY

The 12th grade, the so called "life deciding year for all students'' wasn't very easy either for me. I remember the sleepless nights, 'Test series' even during government declared holidays, festivals and heavy showers. The dream that kept me going was the feeling that 'college would be loads of fun' .Nevertheless the motivating words of my mother, ''It is just 12th.After that you need not work so hard'' and the movies which only portrayed perfect campus fun provided a strong foundation for my dreams. Don’t mistake me for the technical words that I use like ''foundation''. It's all purely the impact of the basic civil engineering course on me. I spent my entire four months of holidays planning the type of dresses I would wear and collecting accessories. I always slept dreaming about being a part of a big gang and having fun with friends. The minute I finished my board exams I thought that there would be no more records, assignments, classwork, stressful studying and strict rules ever in my life again. Everything seemed rosy.

Talking casually to a senior friend who was doing Engineering I understood it was not a child's play. Immediately I tried convincing my parents to allow me to pursue a course of my interest like ''Fashion Designing' or 'Psychology''. I even cited the example of the movie ''3 idiots' but was forced to accept the bitter truth that reality was way far from the 3 hour portrayal on screen. I knew my parents wanted me to get a professional degree and understood the pride they felt addressing their daughter as a future engineer. What are we kids if we can’t

make them happy? So now my focus shifted to searching for a good engineering college. That was when I came across our college, SSNCE. By the grace of God, I became a student here.

The very first day of college, I was exposed to a great shock. The college bus would come to the main road at 7 in the morning. I know I should not be complaining as I am one of the last to be picked up and one among the first to be dropped back home. But it was initially hard for a person like me who was used to getting up at 8 and having the school bus picking me up right at the doorstep. I also had to take notes in class and maintain records and observations. 'Oh God, I could feel all my dreams shattering. The worst part was that whenever there was no UT the TV channels would broadcast captain Vijaykanth's movies and on the weekend preceding our UT the best of movies and award functions would be telecast. This has always been students' plight. I know that I have been very pessimistic complaining about every single issue but I never forget to thank God when I compare myself with my friends in other Engineering colleges. We, at SSN, are respected for our high scores, hard work and treated mostly like how teens should be treated [though not always!], given a lot of freedom, allowed to wear comfortable clothes of our choice, and so on. Although we are stressed during UT'S, it would be mean of us not to accept the fact that we are asked to clear only 2 of the 3 UT'S. So brooding over the negatives will not allow us to cherish the best four years of our life. Rather, it is left to us to make use of every single opportunity and making it memorable. The world outside is very competitive

and we need to be one among the best to survive the rat race. It is just not the 'bookworms' that the world outside would require but a' complete individual 'with a pleasing personality, practical knowledge good communication skills. College provides us a platform to work on all such areas. So taking part in academic and nonacademic activities gives us a good exposure to mould us in the right way.

Dear friends, this is the reality. These four years can never be got back. So let us use it to the fullest in the most positive manner so that we would have no regrets later.

FORBIDDEN LOVE: EARTH ~ SKY

She couldn’t have possibly said okay. As far as she knew, she couldn’t think of anyone else other than him. No one had amazed her or understood her, the way he had. She liked him a lot and that was obvious. But she had a promise to keep. Everything that was hers was not hers in true reality. She lived to make others live. No matter how much her heart yearned for him, her mind warned her of the ghastly consequences. She had never imagined a day like this would come, where her mind would be in a state of turmoil. She would have to let him go but with a promise that one day after many many long years, if they were free from the clutches of their cruel destiny, she would be with him for eternity.

The flowers bloomed everyday with a delightful freshness, the wind possessed a rejuvenating aroma, the water retained the flavor of nectar and the sand always had the subtleness of her heart. She had the elixir of life bestowed within her soul and sparkled with the life forms that grew on her

every instant. From the moment Earth was created, she was a very special one, unique enough to make her desirable.

He was crafted only to shield her from the wretched rays of the sun. He watched over her from a distance for never will the Earth and the Sky ever meet. They were meant for each other but never to be together.

Nevertheless she still continued to fulfill her destiny with patient endurance and Sky continued to envelop her in every turn of the tale. She was aware that Sky existed only for her sake, to protect her, to admire her, to stay with her till doom’s day. He was with her in each and every rotation and revolution of her life. The warmth that emanated from his presence became the very cause of her existence. This was the bitter reality Earth couldn’t escape no matter how much she detested it. Life sure was a living hell for her, pondering into endless space of the vast universe, lost in deep thoughts. The law of nature could never be violated, for it will only lead to destruction of every creature. Her emotions meant nothing in

contrast to the faith that had been placed upon her. The nightingales sang the melody of their passion, and the wolves howled in the dark deep forests reflecting her pathetic situation. Every living being understood that love after all meant sacrifice and selflessness. It did not mean hearts and flowers and a happy ending, but the knowledge that another's well-being is more important than one's own.

Yet sometimes, there would be a faint contentment in their twisted tale, when they appear to meet at the end of the horizon. They were happy that their dreams at least existed in the simplicity of this illusion.

BOREDOM IS GOOD

At work, at home, at play, each moment must be filled with things to ward off the slightest possibility of being bored. It used to be only teenagers who sighed, “I’m so BORED!” Now almost everyone acts as if not having something exciting to do. Yet boredom is, in reality, crucial to any ability to be truly productive, let’s see how I say so.

If you’re busy and engaged all the time, you may feel important, but the reality is different. It’s those who are constantly distracted with activities that are most likely to be headed towards a let-down. Busyness is a great exercise for becoming tired. The trouble is that people who are afraid of being bored soon become too busy to stay effective. If you are really tired next thing you do is take rest. But resting is boring too.

Here is a fact!!!When you’re rushing about, there’s no time to think. When you’re bored, there’s nothing else to do but think! When you start to think you start to utilize your brain (which you often never use and keep fresh.

Boredom is nearly always essential to creativity. Why? The person is bored with the way something has been done a thousand times before and wants to try something new. Boredom stimulates the search for better ways to things like nothing else does.

The next time you find yourself saying, or thinking, that you’re bored, be happy. You’ve just been handed a gift you can use in any of these ways. If you do, you’ll find that being bored is sometimes the very best state to be in.

THE ENIGMA OF THE END

The inception of life is as mysterious as its termination. We have no clear cut answers with proof to these two greatest mind-boggling conundrums. What we have are wild theories with nil supporting evidence by apocalypse fanatics on one side and seemingly plausible theories with still nil proof by the science obsessed.

Favourites among the masses are machines gaining increased intelligence and turning against us, apocalypse caused by a lethal bio-weapon or a deadly incurable virus that if we come in contact with, become lifeless and in constant pursuit of flesh and blood, the incessant degradation of our planet by us on all levels even impenetrable enhancing the probability of an imminent wipe out of our own species, meteorite or acid showers or other detrimental doomsday material like hostile extra-terrestrials ravaging the already almost completely ravaged Earth, the equivalent of the biblical flood with no one choosing to be Noah or a combination of natural and manmade disaster s with the most probability of striking, like shown in the film ‘2012’.

I did miss out one theory intentionally that spread like fire and inflamed the apocalypse seekers into frenzy till last year, to avoid more stupidity from more nincompoops. I did secretly believe it though. Yes I am talking about hype and the hoopla that surrounded the Mayan calendar that supposedly ended last year. Maybe they ran out of stone or got bored or discouraged as to who would care about this anytime in the future.

Everybody can possibly imagine a myriad number of ways in which the world and/or the human species can culminate in a climax, some very disturbing, some very humorous and some very plausible yet can’t believe theories, like the zombie thing or an alien invasion. The concept of the world’s end has been the crux of various sci-fi movies and novels, way long back from Nostradamus’ works, H.G. Wells’ ‘War of the Worlds’ to Emmerich’s ‘2012’. Some interesting possibilities have also been proposed in such media like the flora and fauna taking revenge on us for how we mistreated them, increased solar activity leading to showers of intensely hot solar flares, or microgravity.

One thing we cannot possibly ignore is the fact whatever way the end of the world may come; we will be one of the reasons that triggered the whole process, like the butterfly effect or the chaos theory. It can also be as simple as a nuclear war which may lead us back to the Stone Age. Like Einstein once said, ‘I don’t know what the Third World War will be fought with but the Fourth World War will be fought with sticks and stones’.

Maybe the world will not end at all. Maybe we will just evolve to a higher form of species along the evolutionary ladder. Or maybe the human species will perish paving way to yet again dinosaurs or some other species more adaptable to the changed world. But we can never know for sure what will be the climax of this world. A Russian author Yevgeny Zamyatin once said, ‘A man is like a novel: until the very last page you don't know how it will end. Otherwise it wouldn't be worth reading’. Well said.

TAKING IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL

If you are a hardcore cricket fan, you must not have missed the tenth edition of ICC women’s world cup. It was a break from the long Indian home season and a break that refreshed the spirit of the game. Held for the third time in India, the women’s world cup drew more public attention than the previous editions.

This edition of the world cup saw good cricket being played all around. While there were a few batters who demonstrated class and timing at one end, there were more of them who displayed power hitting at the other end. The fast bowlers ran in hard and hit the deck hard and swung the ball and showed the world how it is done. While the Indian men wanted the curators to prepare turning tracks, these women extracted spin out of the pitch early in the innings. The matches became more exciting without the use of the DRS. The average run-rate was around 4.25 and the average over rate was almost 15.7 overs an hour. ODI cricket did not seem to drag when the women played the game.

As the advertisements during the run-up to the tournament had predicted, this world cup was high on caffeine. It saw many twists and turns, low-scoring thrillers, nail-biting finishes and fairytale endings not to mention the quality of cricket played which improved as the tournament progressed. This world also saw the rise of lower-ranked teams like West Indies and Sri Lanka. Prior to this world cup Australia, England and New Zealand had collectively lost eight of their 119 world cup games to other nations. This time around Australia and New Zealand lost to West Indies once each. Sri Lanka came on top against England and India in the group stage. At the end of eighteen days, Australia emerged as champions for a

record sixth time thrashing the West Indies in the final. England finished third while the host, India only managed the seventh position.

Quite a number of records were created during the course of the world cup. English skipper Charlotte Edwards became the first woman to score 5000 runs in the history of ODI cricket. Australia piled on the misery against a hapless West Indies as they set the record for the highest total in a world cup final. India saw its first world cup centurion in the form of Thirush Kamini in an otherwise disappointing campaign. Incidentally this world cup also saw Australia’s leading all-rounder Lisa Sthalekar play her final international match.

It was an absolute delight to watch the women exhibit their cricketing skills. This tournament has helped women’s cricket take a huge stride forward. The men supported the eves throughout the tournament which was evident from their tweets. The men can take a few valuable lessons from this world cup. The ICC, through this event, has made the world see that there can be leading women athletes in cricket as there are in other sports.

A BIZZARE SENSATION

What a day! From the very first moment I started off, something always went wrong. There was this inner sensation within me that always told me that a really bad misfortune was waiting for me. Fridays are always a hassle because of the routine tests in the morning followed by tedious lab sessions. Obviously my performance in the test was bad and I had to wait up missing my delicious lunch just to listen the boring lecture- regarding my incompetency- from my professor. I rushed over and packed my things and almost tripped over twice on the way, filled with the excitement of going home. Living in the hostel, once in a while you always get this nostalgic feeling from deep within yourself, that you so badly want to go home. It was an exceedingly boring journey by bus to the station without a friend to talk to, randomly thinking in solitude about an uncertain future, watching the trees pass by.

The most frustrating part was when I heard the broadcast in the station that the train would be arriving two hours late. Every minute made me more and more restless. That was when I saw a lady running behind two mischievous kids. They were a family and she was the mother. They sat opposite to me in the waiting lounge. The kids were so fidgety, running around the corridors. It was amazing watching them because she reminded me of my mother.

A mother can be glorious or terrible, benevolent or filled with wrath, but she commands love either way. It was evident because no matter how many times she scolded the little boy, he came back to her crying and finally slept on her lap. There was no other place in the whole world that would make him feel so safe, secure and

comfortable. The smile on his face, spoke a thousand words.

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. The first time she hears the baby’s scream, there is this emotion within her, which can’t be portrayed even by the most exquisite paintings. Her joy knows no bounds for she has a small, hysterical creature who is hale, healthy, alive and breathing in her hands. She has lived all her life waiting for this extraordinary moment and now that she is living it, he mind becomes chaotic. Panic suddenly fills her because she is utterly unprepared for the future that awaits her.

The mother is in particular a very unique creation. The legend says that

the Gods created her from the remains of the universe yet she possessed an incredible temperament. She was made to care so selflessly that family always came first prior to her desires. Her heart was forged in the depth of the flames of the volcanoes, her spirit possessed the fluidity of water and her body had the subtleness of air. She was in fact the embodiment of nature in its true and chaste form. She was the only one who could give infinitely and not expect anything in return.

Drowned in this illusionary realm, I had lost track of time. The horns of the approaching train made me conscious of reality. A huge crowd rushed towards the approaching train and I saw the family walking towards their coach as I myself boarded the train. As

the train departed, everyone settled down indulged in various activities to kill their boredom yet the thoughts of the day still lingered in my mind. All of a sudden a strange sensation of embarrassment drenched me because I had been grumbling the whole day for silly reasons. That moment made me realize my misfortunes seemed so trivial as compared to a mother’s daily chore!

TRIBUTE TO THE UNSUNG HERO

My sister wanted to write an article for school magazine...

Subject:” a sporting icon”.

While she was contemplating as to whether she should write about Sachin Tendulkar with 40 million dollars endorsement or MS Dhoni with 42million dollars endorsements, I recalled the story of Jankidas (told to me by my father who had in turn heard from his school teacher long back)

Unfortunately, Google could offer very little information about this person.

Jankidas Mehra was a very well reputed cycling champion. He broke eight world cycling record in the period 1934-42. He represented India in the world Olympic Games in 1936 at Berlin and was India’s sole representative at the empire games in1938 in Sydney, Australia and at the

eastern games in 1940 Tokyo.

Finally before the world sports congress meet in Zurich he met Mahatma Gandhi who put him in a moral dilemma...”Do you want to represent British India??” At the meet, Jankidas quietly untied the British flag and hoisted India’s national flag (pre independence) and he became the first Indian to have done this. With this act against British occupation, he was hailed a hero, but the controversy

forced this sportsman cum freedom fighter’s career to end. Later, he became a well-known writer, a director and a noted actor (from whose Mumbai estate Sanjana Kapoor’s Prithvi theatre now operates)

Jankidas passed away in Mumbai on June 18, 2003 when he was 93 years old.

My vote and salute is for Jankidas Mehra!!

THE STRONGEST FORCE IN NATURE

It isn't the gravitational force holding the celestial bodies that I'm talking about and most definitely not any new discovery for it's been existing deep within each and every human from the time we started breathing, this driving force has brought us here and will take us even further, I'm talking about the belief, the faith that you have in yourself, yes that's the strongest force in nature, it's so strong that it can bring your goals closer and closer to you. But the point is, you should keep it safe with you and never lose it. Even when you feel like you just bobbed down a steep slope, you need to tell yourself that you're going to bounce back high, really high. Even when you're emotionally exhausted just look back at your past memories, only those ones that might remind you of the hurdles you've crossed, shows you who you really are.

Get rid of the incoherent thoughts without any clarity giving you doubts about yourself, because whoever you are if you don't believe in yourself, you're not going to make it. Don't let anybody else tell you what you can have and what you can't, for it's your life and the choice is purely yours. Often you may feel like you need something to prop yourself up but

remember, you don't need anything else because you have yourself. You are a lot more than just blood, bones and flesh and you have infinite possibilities as long as you stay in this world. And at the end of the day you will find that there's nothing simple about your life because everything's extraordinary!...................

Sanskrit language is an ancient one. The word itself means “Pure, Perfect and Refined”. It is also known as “Deva Bhasha” or “the language of God”. The foundation of Indian culture is based on this language. In mathematics, Zero forms an integral part of thousands, millions and trillions. However, this Zero was already invented by Aryabatta. The Number “One Lakh” is called “Laksha” in Indian Numerical System, “100 Lakhs” is called “One Crore”, 100 Crores is called “One Arab”, 100 Arab is called “One Kharab”. 100 Kharab is called “One Neel”. 100 Neel is called

“Father of Plastic Surgery”. In his

book, “Sushruta Samhita” he had

medicines, surgeries and tools used in

surgeries. The book “Charaka

Samhita” is the foundation for

Ayurvedic medicines.

In Engineering, immense progress was

made, which is evident from the Great

Indian Temples like Sun Temple of

Konark. The references to

Construction of Ships, Types of

Transport, Alloys and Metallurgy of

Iron and Copper were already

discussed in “Bhrigu Samhita” and

“Yantrarnavam” etc.

A recent study by Dr. Fred Travis,

HOD, Department of Neurophysics,

Maharishi Univerisity confirmed that

reading Sanskrit verses have profound

physiological effects on human brain.

This suggests that physiological state

reached during practicing meditation

and active mental process integrated

while reading Sanskrit is similar.

Thus, we can take pride in the fact that

modern invention and theories have

already been incorporated in our

ancient language and it is our duty to

preserve our pristine heritage.
