Pink Pepperslim is a slimming oil derived from Pink Pepper with powerfullipolytic properties.
A concentrated oil from pink berries, Pink PepperSlim sets itself apart from traditional fat burners due toits pre-lipolytic action. Its pre-lipolytic activity focuses on large lipid droplets. Pink PepperSlim is a pure oil extracted from Schinus terebinthifolius seeds using the supercritical CO2 technique.
The false pepper plant Schinus terebinthifolius is a specie of tree whose berries provide a spice known as “pepperrosé”, “pink berries” or “Aroeira. It originated in Brazil and is nowadays cultivated in the island Réunion (next toMadagascar) for its berries known as the “Pink Gold of Réunion”.
The tree can measure up to 15 metres high. Its leaves are evergreen, aromatic, creased and can reach 15 cm inlength. They give off a peppery odour or an odour of terebinth. The off-white flowers hang in bunches. From these,a discretely perfumed honey is produced. The pink berries, aromatic fruits, coloured coral red in summer, are 8 mm in diameter and have a peppery smell. The tree secretes an aromatic resin which is also called “incense”.
Pink pepper has a fairly sweet taste, almost sugary at first, then aromatic. They are often sold preserved in brineor used as dried berries. They are eaten whole or crumbled, i.e. carefully crushed between the fingers.

The different stages of fat storage
1 - Pre-adipocyte differentiation
Differentiation of pre-adipocytes, which up till that point arenot capable of storing fat, in the young adipocyte is the firststep in the fat storage process.
Fats are taken on by a protein called adipophilin and stored assmall lipid droplets.
2 - Maturing of the young adipocyte
Development of young adipocytes into mature adipocytes isthe second fat storage step.
The second step is accompanied by a fall in the level ofadipophilin and an increase in the level of Perilipin A.
Perilipin A takes on the fat molecules during the second step.Fats are stored in the form of a single large lipid droplet.
In addition to take on fats, Perilipin A protects large lipiddroplets. By distributing itself over the droplet surface, itcreates a sort of cellular shield which restricts access bylipases to the fat reserves.

1 - Pre-lipolytic action
To burn fat, it is important that the lipases can access themeasily. Also, it is easier for them to burn up small lipid dropletsthan large ones.
Inhibiting Perilipin A synthesis acts on both these factors:- it reduces the protection on large lipid droplets making themeasier to metabolise- it reduces regulation of fat molecules to form large lipiddroplets and so promotes formation of small lipid droplets whichare much easier to metabolise.
2 - Lipolytic action
Since the fat reserves are now more accessible, lipolysis is moreeffective:
- increased amount of glycerol released- increased fatty acid quantities released

Pink PepperSlim inhibits Perilipin Aexpression by 23%
This inhibition leads to:
• reduced protection of large lipid droplets against lipolytic agents• reduced ability to take on fats during development of small lipiddroplets into large lipid droplets
Pink PepperSlim increases adipophilin levelby 60%
This increase directly results from Perilipin A inhibition. Sincesmall lipid droplet maturation is restricted, the number of smalldrops increases compared to large drops and adipophilin levelincrease accordingly.
Pink PepperSlim stops the formation of large lipid droplets in favour of small ones
The colouring of lipid droplets by the red oil shows the inhibitoryeffect of Pink PepperSlim on large lipid droplets formation and fatstorage.
