Wish you were here reflektiert die damaligen Ansichten der Band über das Musikbusiness und setzt sich mit den Themen Abwesenheit und Verlust auseinander, insbesondere im Klassiker Shine On You Crazy Diamond, einem Tribut an Gründungsmitglied Syd Barrett. Die aktuelle Experience-Version präsentiert das Original-Studioalbum digital remastert von James Guthrie mit einer Bonus-CD, auf der bisher unveröffentlichte Live- und Studioaufnahmen zu hören sind. Außerdem enthalten sind ein neugestaltetes Digipak und ein von Storm Thorgerson designtes 20-Seiten-Booklet.

Wish You Were Here – ‘Immersion’- und ‘Experience’-Editionen, Vinyl-LP plus digitale Editionen
1967 bestand die Band aus Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, Nick Mason und Richard Wright. Barrett verließ Pink Floyd 1968 und wurde durch David Gilmour ersetzt. Syd Barrett starb 2006; Richard Wright starb 2008. Bis heute haben PINK FLOYD weltweit über 200 Millionen Tonträger verkauft.
