» Gateway Express Project – potential to alleviate some traffic

» Roosevelt Boulevard – opportunity to redesign and make it more pedestrian friendly

» Gandy – express lanes that extend to downtown • FDOT – lane improvements • Make it a true expressway to Tampa – use as evacuation route• Reduce need for traffic on other roads

» US 19 – more improvements

» Gateway Multimodal Study (10 years ago) – was never implemented, look at the strategies

» 102nd – looked at an overpass, but it was too expensive

» High employment, underserved area = Carillon – no major routes in this area

» Tampa Bay Intermodal Study – high speed rail line; site was selected, but it was deemed historic

» Look for new sites for intermodal – a more central location

» US 19 express bus plan (on-going) – they have been studying this since 1973; demand for that service

» Safety – pedestrian crashes on US 19 » Think about ways to get people across major roadways

» TB NEXT and Gandy Boulevard – trail facilities alongside major bridges – across all challenged crossings

» Complete streets plan will have modal hierarchy to link economic development and transportation

» Passenger Ferry (study 2003) – could be an opportunity in this area near the airport for that facility to connect counties

» Downtown Bike Share – potential to expand, operated by Coast Bike Share (also in Tampa)
