Physical Characteristics…

Plumage: White, Black, Yellow, and Red When in flight the feathers are white underneath. Red crest on the head. Yellow bristly feathers over nose. White stripes on the neck and body. Black and white stripes on body.

Male: *10%-15% heavier*Red crest extends from bill to nape.*Red mustache

Female:*Cap is smaller, extending back from the top crown*Lack of mustache
