knowledge of quilting technique and terminology. The quilt and

block diagrams portrayed are virtual images. The layout and

look of your project may differ when using actual fabric.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS1 Pieces of Hope 2 10-inch Stacker (10-3400-18)

1¼ yards (1.15 m) white main (C3400 White)

1½ yards (1.4 m) orange puzzle (C3403 Orange)

1½ yards (1.4 m) snow white shade (C200-03 Snow White)

Binding 5/8 yard (60 cm)

Backing 4 yards (3.7 m)

CUTTING REQUIREMENTSPlease read instructions first before cutting. Seam allowances

vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting

border pieces.

10-inch StackerCut a 9½” x 9½” square from each print except for orange puzzle.

Using the template provided trace and cut out the puzzle piece

from the orange puzzle 10” square. Add ¼” seam allowance if

necessary for your favorite method of applique.

White MainCut 7 strips 5½” x WOF for Border 2.

Orange PuzzleCut 3 strips 9½” x WOF. Cut the strips into 48 rectangles 2½” x 9½”

for Sashing.

Cut 1 strip 2½” x WOF. Cut the strip into 14 squares 2½” x 2½”

for Posts.

Cut 6 strips 2½” x WOF for Border 1.

Snow White ShadeCut 2 strips 2½” x WOF. Cut the strips into 17 squares 2½” x 2½”

for Posts.

Cut 2 strips 17” x WOF. Cut the strips into 3 squares 17” x 17” and

2 squares 10½” x 10½”. Cut the 17” squares twice diagonally

to create 12 Setting Triangles (2 will not be used). Cut the 10½”

squares once diagonally to create 4 Corner Triangles.

QUILT ASSEMBLY Refer to the quilt photo for placement of fabrics.

Puzzle BlockUse your favorite method of appliqué. Refer to quilt photo for

placement of puzzle piece on snow white shade 9½” x 9½”

square.

Quilt Center AssemblyRefer to the Quilt Center Diagram for Center Block, Puzzle

Block, Post, Sashing, and Setting Triangle placement. Sew

rows together on the diagonal to complete the center of the

quilt. Add Corner Triangles. The Corner and Setting Triangles

are intentionally cut larger in order to square up the quilt

center, leaving ¼” seam allowance on all sides, before adding

the borders.

BordersSeam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt

before cutting border pieces. Sew border strips together end

to end if necessary to get the length needed. Sew side borders

first.

Border 1Side borders should be 62¾”. Top and bottom borders should

be 51¼”.

Border 2Side borders should be 66¾”. Top and bottom borders should

be 63¼”.

Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back. Bind

with your favorite Riley Blake fabric from the Pieces of Hope 2

Collection. Have fun with your colors and enjoy the journey of

making your quilt.
