WE continue to grow!Dear readers,dear customers,
Our employees have always been the main guarantors for the company‘s success. In order to continue growing, 15 new ones will be starting in September at the Ulm site. The new colleagues strengthen almost every area of our company: domestic and foreign sales, application technology, logistics, EDP and procurement. As many as six of them are new apprentices – a new record!
The advancement of young people is given the highest priority at LIQUI MOLY. It is not for nothing that the number of apprentices is continuously rising. When I began my training as an industrial sales apprentice here in 2009, there were two of us. Now this figure has tripled. A great development!
Learning your own talents is also the best basis for global success and for continued healthy growth. The employment of ‚fresh blood‘ has another advantage: young people with great ideas and a creative spirit work together with experienced colleagues towards the company‘s success – this is what makes up the LIQUI MOLY family worldwide.
Further highlights in this magazine include spectacular motorsport pictures from the Czech Republic, Argentina, Peru and Germany, customer events in the Netherlands, Albania, South Africa and the USA, new product for your bike and our personal invitation to Automechanika 2014, the most important exhibition in our industry.

LIQUI MOLY is the most popular oil brand amongst commercial vehicle drivers
LIQUI MOLY has been the most popular motor oil amongst Germany‘s car drivers for years. Now, we have been voted the ‚2014 Best Brand‘ by commercial vehicle drivers for the first
time – with a significant lead over the competition.
The result looks like a real start-to-finish victory: 39.6 per cent of industry experts from Germany voted for LIQUI MOLY as the best service and workshop brand. Both BP brands
Castrol and Aral (13.4 and 10.4 per cent, respectively) followed by some distance.
„This success has been hard-earned by our commercial vehicles team over several years. This allows us to tie in with the car sales team and add to the list of awards,“ says
Christian Schwer, Key Account Manager at LIQUI MOLY, who was presented the trophy at the ceremony on the sidelines of the Truck Grand Prix at the Nürburgring.

‚Werkstatt aktuell‘ identified the best brands in commercial vehicle services for the first time. Workshop and service pros from Germany had the choice of 93 brands in
12 categories. „We hereby create a meaningful image of the most important brands on the German market in categories such as heavy-duty batteries or oils and lubricants,“ explains Chief Editor Thomas Rosenberger. LIQUI MOLY has been able to transfer its expertise and
popularity gained in the car sector to the commercial vehicles sector.
For Christian Schwer, the award is also proof that intensive customer service is worthwhile: „Consultation is the top priority for us. This begins with a special sales team for commercial
vehicles and continues with comprehensive marketing support, a workshop concept as well as a free phone service for technical questions. The piano we are playing is very
big – an offer that it is best to accept.“
After the premiere, LIQUI MOLY showed off their title defence. Christian Schwer: „We stick to our guns, work hard every day for the good of our customers.“

LIQUI MOLY is out and about around the world, but the whole world comes to Frankfurt for Automechanika. Every two years it is the best opportunity to create business relationships
and the future with visitors and customers. Products and services are important, but a direct contact is the top priority for us. We are therefore once again looking forward to our booth
at the most important international exhibition.
There are new products and services available in almost every sector. Motor oil continues to be an important core competency. In the car sector alone LIQUI MOLY has come up with
three new lubricants: Top Tec 4700 5W-30 with the latest Mercedes-Benz approval, Special Tec V 0W-30 predominantly for Volvo and an absolute innovation: the first eco oil
with official approvals from Mercedes-Benz and VW: Leichtlauf Eco 10W-40. This makes us the first brand to have been able to launch a motor oil on the market, with manufacturer
approval, produced by rerefining. Saving resources and driving environmentally friendly cars – topics that even the market for wear and repair parts has now taken up.
The service products range is also enhanced with its own range for workshop professionals called Pro-Line. Our revised oil guide, the new Autoglas info and a new concept for our
photo shoots giving you creative freedom are all waiting for you.

LIQUI MOLY has never before had so many innovations on offer at the INTERMOT. As a visitor to the world‘s second-largest industry exhibition, you can expect a revised bike
range, a newly created sales team and a significantly larger booth. We will have almost 100 square metres of exhibition space this year in hall 8.1 at booth C039, roughly double
that of the previous INTERMOT.
LIQUI MOLY has already caused a sensation in the sector with the relaunch of its motorcycle range at the start of the season. 40 new products, including oil, additives and care products enhance the bike range, renamed from ‚Racing‘ to ‚Motorbike‘. Everything
from one source, this is a philosophy we are staying loyal to as this makes us unique in the sector. It‘s not for nothing that Germany‘s motorbike dealers voted us into second place in oil category of the most popular brands in 2013. We only very narrowly missed out on the
pole position.
At INTERMOT we want to maintain existing contacts and make lots of new customers with our team. The outlook is positive: 200,000 visitors came through the exhibition gates in
2012; more than a quarter of which were trade experts.

New product presentations
They are built for every terrain; that‘s why they are called All Terrain Vehicles, ATV for short. LIQUI MOLY has developed the ATV 4T motor oil 10W-40 for them and quad bikes, because
vehicles used offroad put their engines under much greater stress.
Of course, you can drive ATVs and quad bikes on the road too, but cross-country tours promise a great deal of fun for those who really enjoy the dust. Precisely this is the crux, says David Kaiser, Head of Research & Development at LIQUI MOLY: „Dust and sand can
lead to increased dirt input and therefore greater wear in the engine.“ Airflows are a further challenge. Away from the road there is often just a quiet breeze, because progress can be very slow. This leads to poorer cooling and the oil is therefore under significantly greater thermal stress. LIQUI MOLY has developed the ATV 4T motor oil 10W-40 for this extreme
requirement profile.
The Motorbike 4T Synth 5W-40 Offroad Race for offroad vehicles is also new.
Away from paved road, progress is significantly harder. The same is true for
offroad motorbikes. And this has an effect on engines.

ensuring the riding fun doesn‘t fall by the wayside.
„Those who go offroad have to be able to trust their motor oil,“ says David Kaiser. If offroad vehicles are used on paved roads or in races, they like to pull the throttle.
The engine speeds increase, as does the thermal load. „For this reason the new motor oil is designed to deal with both extremes,“ explains the head of research.
After all, offroad shouldn‘t mean the end of the road.
The additive components of both new products were put together in such a way that the oil has outstanding friction values, in spite of the difficult conditions, and protects the
engine very well.
