THE BIG PICTURE Turner Industries was recently awarded a job for a chemical plant in St. Gabriel, Louisiana to fabricate and install two stainless steel vessels to be used for water treatment – waste water from the plant flows through the vessels and is filtered by carbon media into a water treatment tank. Both vessels, each 28 feet tall, 12 feet deep, and weighing in around 30,000 pounds, were built by Turner’s fabrication shop in Decatur, Alabama and transported via truck directly to the St. Gabriel site. Multiple Turner divisions provided support to complete the task. Besides the Decatur facility building the vessels, the Turnaround division supplied the labor and the Crane and Rigging offered the cranes for installation. Turner experienced no problems with the project and the team met the completion dates ahead of schedule, saving the client approximately $20,000 in labor expenses. 800.288.6503 turner-industries.com
