Fateh Sagar Lake is the second artificial lake of Udaipur, the first being Jaisamand lake. Located in the north of Lake Pichola, Fateh Sagar Lake lies just besides the entrance to Moti Magri Hill. Built in 1678 by Maharana Jai Singh, Fateh Sagar Lake got its name from Maharana Fateh Singh, who later made additions to it. Talking about the statistics of Fateh Sagar, the lake extends to the length of 2.4 km, 1.6 km. in width and deep to the extent of 11.5 meter. Nehru garden is beautifully developed by PWd and is located in the island of Fateh sagar Lake. Boating facility is available to get in the park.

This oval shaped island garden is situated amidst the Fateh Sagar Lake. In order to reach this romantic garden, you have to take a boat ride in the

lake. The lush green garden with its water fountains, flower gardens and a lily pond offers truly an eye-soothing view for any observer. The garden

also comprises a restaurant where you can enjoy the lip-smacking dishes along with the scenery of green Aravalli hills.

The library and a reading room Sajjan Niwas garden or the Gulab Bagh with an area of 100 acres is perhaps the biggest and best garden in India. Apart from the trees, flowerbeds and a zoo, the garden also has a museum to boast of. The museum, originally known as Victoria Hall Museum, was well known for its collection of antiques and curios. It has now been shifted to Karan Vilas Mahal within the City Palace complex. There is also a public library attached to the garden, which has large volumes and illustrated manuscripts on Indology, Archaeology, and History. The are all located inside the Victoria Hall. The Monsoon Palace, formerly known as the Sajjan Garh Palace, is a hilltop

palatial residence in the Udaipur city. It is named as Sajjangarh after

Maharana Sajjan Singh (1874–1884) of the Mewar Dynasty, who built

Sajjangarh Fort in 1884. It offers a panoramic view of the city's lakes,

palaces and surrounding countryside. It was built basically to watch the

monsoon clouds; hence, appropriately, it is popularly known as Monsoon

Palace. The Monsoon Palace provides a beautiful view of the sunset. High in

the Aravalli Hills, just outside Udaipur, the Palace is illuminated in the

evenings, giving a glow of golden orange

Badi Ka Talab (Jiyan Sagar) is one of most attractions of Udaipur people. Jiyan Sagar is another striking lake, located in the village of Badialso known as Jiyan sagar, named after Jana Devi, the mother of Maharana Raj Singh, is at a distance of 10kms.in the north-east of City Udaipur. In 1684 A.D. the beautiful lake was built by Maharana Raj Singh. At a cost of about 6 lakhs of rupees.The lake covers an area of 155 sq. km., and has an embankment 180 m. long and 18 m. wide, which is graced by three artistic chhatris .

Eklingji Temple is situated at a distance of 24 km to the north of Udaipur. Devoted to Lord Shiva, the tutelary deity of the

former Mewar rulers, the temple is said to have been founded by Acharya Viswaroopa, a contemporary of Adi Sankaracharya.

JAGDISH TEMPLE is

one of the famous temples of Udaipur. Located in the City Palace complex of Udaipur, this temple is made in the Indo-Aryan style of .

This imposing white Hindu temple, with intricate architecture and carvings, is an

unmissable landmark in the Lal Ghat area near the entrance to the City Palace. It

was built by Maharana Jagat Singh in 1961 and houses a black stone idol of Lord

Jagannath . The highlight there is the evocative aarti every sunrise and sunset.

The two temples that are situated side by side with each others are dedicated to the Hindu religion and pay homage to the deity of Lord Vishnu.

Referred to as Sas Bahu Ka Mandir due to their close association, the two temples were built by the great Kachwah King Mahapala some where in

the 10th century.

The original temple of Lord Vishnu constructed by Yasomati, wife of the commander in chief of the Mewar Ruler was destroyed and the remains

includes the very place where the two temples of the Kachwa Ruler are built.

Shrinathji temple is a famous temple in Nathdwara. Nathdwara is a small town in the Indian

state of Rajasthan. It is situated at a distance of 48kms in the north-east of Udaipur. Nathdwara is sited on the right bank of Banas River. Nathdwara is famous for its 17th century temple that is dedicated to Lord Shrinathji (Lord Krishna). The term 'Nathdwara' suggests the 'gate of the lord'. Shrinathji Temple is also known as 'Haveli of Shrinathji' and makes a prominent pilgrimage of the Hindus / Vaishnavas.
