    AUSTIN,TEXAS(August)RaiseYourHandTexas,anon-profitpubliceducationadvocacyorganization,islaunchingPickthePic,astatewidephotocontest.Thecontestisopentoall

    currentTexaspublicschoolstudents(parentalpermissionrequired)andthegoalistoraise

    publicawarenessoftheimportanceofstudentachievementandsuccess.

    Thestatewidecontestinwhichparentsandstudentswillbeaskedtosubmitonephoto

    answeringasinglequestionregardingtheirTexaspubliceducationexperiencewillbe

    conductedontheRYHTFacebookpage.Submissiondetailsandthespecificquestiontobe

    answeredwillbeannouncedatthelaunchofthePickthePiccontestonSeptember7,2011.

    Therewillbe20winnersselectedoneperTexasRegionServiceCenterasdeterminedby

    thenumberofLikeseachphotoreceivesontheRYHTFacebookpage.

    IndividualwinnerswillreceiveanAppleiPadalongwiththeirrespectiveTexaspublicschool

    beingawardedacheckfor$500.

    RYHTisfocusedonprovidingaqualityeducationforthealmostfivemillionstudentsinthe

    publicschoolsofTexas.Thiscontestwillprovideourstudentswithanopportunitytoshare

    theirideasabouttheimportanceofpubliceducationintheirlivesandtheirfutures.Thevoicesofourstudentsdeservetobeheardbytheadultswhocontrolthedestinyofourstates

    greatestresources,saidDr.DavidAnthony,CEOofRYHT.

    ThecontestofficiallystartsonSeptember7,2011andwillrununtilOctober7,2011.Winners

    willbeannouncedonceallvotesarecounted.
