Your support has been an encouragement and blessing, and has allowed the ministry to move in ways we could not have without you. Pick A Pocket has come a long way since it first started. God has been faithful to us and has been providing for both the projects and the members within the group. We are very thankful for both the Good and the bad and the ups and downs. A few years ago during a time of prayer, we as a team felt as though we were to pursue moving to another city to start a satellite location. The vision was to start a venue that would host a café, art gallery, and different musical endeavors. Through the venue, we would be able to show a glimpse of the issues of extreme poverty that are currently happening around the world, especially within the 10/40 Window, and would give place to show how we as artists are fighting against extreme poverty through our art. We talked with our Base leadership, and were given the release to move forward, and began going on scouting trips and prayer walks to Hamburg, where we felt we should begin. We let our National Leadership team know as soon as we could, and after many months of prayer and engaging, we went back to them for the final go ahead. It was during that discussion that they told us they felt we should not pursue moving to that city. That was unexpected, and something we did not take lightly. After much prayer and fasting, we realized that we are facing a spiritual battle, not only over Hamburg but the entire nation of Germany. So instead of focusing and concentrating on the doors to Hamburg being closed, we as a community decided to focus on the One who is far greater than any circumstance. Just like Jericho, we will focus on God and the walls will crumble down and we will continue to worship Him. We are still holding on to the promises and hope that God spoke to us about going to Hamburg, but until that day comes, we want to remain active and engaged as God makes a way. So this year, we were blessed with a small space in Herrnhut where we are hoping to open a small café, an art gallery, as well as having some of our own office space. This doesn’t mean we have given up on Hamburg – this city will always be in our hearts until God says otherwise. We are excited to see that not all doors have closed, and we see that this store will be a great way to be able to really kick start the Venue.

The venue will be a non-profit, and all gains made through the café will go straight into the projects we have out on the field. The café will be creatively designed by the artists within our group to portray and educate our customers on the issues of extreme poverty along with other social injustices happening around the world.

We hope to have a fair trade venue, from the coffee beans to even the furniture. Even though the cost for fair trade products is higher, we want to pursue God’s vision in high quality, not in bare minimum. We hope to see the café run by our staff six days a week, serving both our ministry community and the local town. The Art Gallery’s purpose is to display artwork done by our Pick A Pocket members and Staff, and we also want it to be a platform for up-and-coming artists in Germany to be able to showcase their work. We look forward to it being a great way to be able to network with many other artists within, and even outside, of Germany. The hope

is also to see the Gallery serve not just printed art, but musical art as well – the possibilities seem endless! We want to extend our invitation to you to be part of this great opportunity. Yes, we do have the store, but we need finances to be able to really have the café/art gallery in this venue. The venue needs about 50,000 Euros to have fully functioning and nicely done space. We know it is a lot of money, but our Father in Heaven has access to all the riches in this world, and as His children, He knows how to give good gifts. So we extend our invitation to you to ask you to be part of God’s vision for the nations and help see the venue come to fruition. Please keep us in your prayers and spread the news!
