Picasso Poyect: Teachers notes 1st sesión: Introduction - What is an artist?--> brainstorming - Show kids the Pictures slide presentation and they have to fill the activities about the different pictures, highlighting the importance of what a pictures makes us feel , and that each person can feel a different thing in front of a different picture. 2 nd & 3 rd sessions: Blue and Rose Periods - Picasso PPT: show kids the presentation and tell them about Picassos life. - Focusing in the blue and rose periods, make them think about how colours can make us see the same picture different. - Blue and rose periods activities (they have to colour the same picture using clod or warm colours, to see how colours make the difference) 4 th & 5 th sessions: Picassos Portraits - Talk to children about Impresionism and how Picasso drew people imagining he was looking at them from the front and from one side at the same time. - Visit www.picasohead.com and make different faces (computers room, kids can make faces on their own) - Cut form magazines different parts of faces and classify them: mouths, noses, eyes, ears, etc- Make your our Picasso Portrait: Kids stick one of the previous cut-outs (one part of one face), and create a portrait.form it. 6 th Session: introducing the Guernica - Show kids the Guernica PPT or the book - Draw their favourite part of the Guernica 7 th -10 th sessions: Peace mural - We are going to create a big mural about peace. In construction paper, each kid make a very big picture. They paint the background and finally we put everything together in a big mural.

1st sesión: Introduction
