    Piano Guy

    The Piano Guys are an American musical group consisting of Jon Schmidt, Steven Sharp

    Nelson, Paul Anderson and Al van der Beek. All of their songs was produced and written by them.

    Most of their song was a classical song which theyve re-write and played in a modern version or

    remix. They are really creative and an professional performer and musician. They gained popularity

    through YouTube, where they posted lots of popular song and classical music. Steve Steven Sharp

    Nelson is an American cellist, best known for his part in The Piano Guys. an alternative performance

    method that combines traditional, lyrical cello techniques with unconventional pizzicato and

    percussive technique. He was born and still resides in Salt Lake City, Utah. He began studying cello at

    age 8, percussion at age 12 and guitar at age 17. He has invented a new method of playing the cello

    that combines elements learned from each of these instruments. Jon Schmidt (born 1966) is an

    American pianist. He describes his style as "New Age Classical. His work is often described as New

    Age music with pop elements of hook and melody.

    Piano guy rewrite an original arrangement and adaptation of J.S. Bach's Unaccompanied

    Cello Suite No. 1: Prelude, by Steven Sharp Nelson. While the original prelude is for solo cello, Steven

    adapted it for 8 cellos, with the addition of original material. This piece had been featured in a lot of

    movies and car commercials. Steven Sharp Nelson decided that this piece needed some

    accompaniment. Steven Sharp Nelson rewrite this piece by adding some original material and 7

    more cello parts stacked on top of each other, Steve has created a cool new sound that embellishes

    all the features that have made Bach's work so popular. The 7 new parts include drawn-out melodies

    which soar above fast arpeggios, strumming chords from a guitar-like part, shaker sounds

    accomplished by rubbing the sides of the cello, tremolo and a cello-banging percussion part

    complete with bass drum.

    In this song Steven Sharp Nelson play melody line, fast arpeggios, strumming chords,

    percussion part by himself. Piano guy group use the power of technology to combine all video

    Steven Sharp playing with each cello part. Then the video plays seems like he play all the part at the

    same time. Steven Sharp also created a different melody line that counterpoint with the main

    melody. Chord in each bar played by different techniq for example, playing with full bow and

    plucking and strumming each string to created chord sound. He also make some improvised pattern

    and It created harmony sound and improve the texture and the colour of the songs.
