[ Applications are invited for positions in this company's Research and Engineering laboratories from men or women, with or without experience, who have (or expect to receive this year) graduate degrees in physics, engineering physics, chemistry, or metallurgy. Applications are also in-vited from experienced electrical, mechanical, and ceramic engineers. Positions are open in research, development, and engineering.

This company is one of the largest manufacturers of electronic components (capacitors, resistors, printed circuits, ferrite parts, pulse-forming net-works, radio noise filters, and other products) and has twelve plants in ten ci t ies. The head offices, and three of the plants, are in North Adams, in the Berkshire Hills of northwestern Massachusetts. Living accommo-dations are available in or near North Adams and Williamstown.

The Research and Engineering Department, with a staff of about 260 and with large and well-equipped laboratories, is located in North Adams. Re-search is being conducted on semiconductors, ferrimagnetic and ferroelec-tric phenomena (ferrites, ceramic dielectrics, and piezoelectric materials), solid and liquid dielectrics, and in organic, inorganic and physical chem-istry, and metallurgy. Development and engineering activities are directed toward new devices and materials for electronic use, and toward improve-ment of existing components and their manufacture.
