PHYO GYI: BIOGRAPHY
Phyo Gyi is a popular and successful singer from Myanmar who started his career in 2001 as part of a group
called 102.7FM. He recorded 2 albums with the group – “San Da” in 2001, and “Tha Chin Chit Thu” in
2002. In 2003, Phyo Gyi released his first solo album titled “A Thin Chay” which became a huge success in
Myanmar and since then he was featured in over 20 compilation albums collaborating with various artists
and bands. He also went on multiple tours around the country performing many successful gigs. In 2006, he
released a Valentine’s Day special album featuring many famous artists. In 2009, Phyo Gyi produced a duet
album where he collaborated with various female vocalists. His second solo album “Ma Mone Kyaye” was
released in 2012. Currently he is working on recording a third solo album as well as a covers album.
