CLINICAL Coordinator Pre Clinic Dental Hygiene, Foothill College: I have attended in this clinic for 11 months of the year for two - three days per week for the past 17 years. Faculty Coordinator for Foothill College Medical/Dental Brigades international service project, Foothill College: I attend a one week clinic in Honduras with students to provide dental hygiene care to rural populations in Honduras each summer, supervising 15 to 34 dental hygiene, pre-med and pre-dental students. We typically service 900 to 1,000 patients during this week-long clinic. I have been doing this for 3 years. TEACHING NARRATIVE I teach full time at Foothill College & direct the dental hygiene program. My courses include: preclinical dental hygiene, dental health education, law & ethics in dental hygiene, special patients and inter-professional education in allied health. Some examples of teaching experience in my present position would include: clinic renovation & conversion to electronic/digital technologies & patient records, development of online courses & hybrid courses, and creation of program portfolios as a competency outcome & conversion to an e-portfolio as an outcomes assessment tool. TEACHING and MENTORING AIDS: Wrote the Policy Manual for Foothill College Dental Hygiene Program. Wrote the Clinical Dental Hygiene Syllabus for Foothill College Dental Hygiene Program. Wrote the Pre-clinical Dental Hygiene Syllabus for 1st year dental hygiene students. Designed and development of five online courses for dental hygiene.

Designed and development and implemented an interprofessional workshop for allied health students at Foothill College, including: diagnostic medical sonography, paramedic, pharmacy technology, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, dental assisting, and dental hygiene. I have worked collaboratively with the dental hygiene faculty, and I deal effectively with staff, students, patients and administrators on a regular basis.
