sI have never seen so many flow-ers in my life, and I have to ad-mit, when I got home, most of my memor card was filled with

pictures of flowers. I loved seeing the wide variety that was grown in Ireland and the UK. I am includ-ing some of the most gorgeous flowers that I saw on the trip. I felt like I was most impressed by color and size. I am including a lot of orchids, because I feel like or-chids are really popular right now, and there are so many different breeds. I also loved the water lil-

lies because they are so large and vibrant. They were some of my favorite to see. Some of these

flowers would look lovely in an ar-rangment, and some would look better in a landscaped area. Re-

gardless, they are all beautiful.

The custer creates a perfect shape of pink loveliness.

They just hung so beautifully. I would love to have these in my home. The green and white makes a great neutral piece of decoration.

These were the most perfect roses i had ever seen. They were huge! Their color was so soft and beautiful, and they held themselves up nicely.

These would make a great indoor plant.

gThe floral industry in Ireland and the UK

seemed to be booming. I feel like this is be-cause of the many events that take place in the cities we visited, and also because of

the gardens and growing facilities that are so close to these cities. I noticed that near Kew, there were so many small flower shops, and that is probably because of the proximity to Kew. I also noticed several flower stands at tube stations. I think flowers are valued in

the cities we visited and I loved seeing them everywhere. I noticed them most in the Ca-thedrals, grocery stores, and near Kew. Their arrangements seemed to focus on coordinat-ing colors, and varying lengths. The colors also seemed to change per situation I found them in. When at the grocery store, there was a

wide variety of color to choose from, but at Cathedrals there would only be light colors and white or yellow flowers. This seems fit-ting because the flowers are being used in a religious setting. I also noticed while walking down the street that many people wrapped their wrap bouquets in brown paper. I abso-lutely loved that trend and I think it makes

for a beautiful wrap bouquet.

These are some flowers at Cathedrals and show the focus on light colors.

This lovely woman informed me that they had been work-ing for hours to create these beautiful arrangements!

The flowers are stored in buckets with treatment so that they can last as long as possible. It keeps them hyrdated and fed in order to be ready to use in arrangements.

On the next page there were prepara-tions being made for a wedding. The colors scheme remained similar to the scheme in

the Cathedrals, but some pinks were added for a romantic touch. The use of Baby’s

Breath was also wide, and that made it feel very wedding oriented.

The next page showcases one of the wrap bouquets that I thought was beautiful. It has

two main colors, and the brown paper that is used to wrap the flowers makes the bouquet

seem like such a warm gift. I especially like the contrast of the elegant roses with the

casual paper

The page after shows one of the setups at a Tesco. They offered a wide variety of flowers, and I loved walking in to see them.

eI saw so many beautiful land-

scapes and plots while in Ireland and the UK. What I seemed to

notice most was the use of col-ors and lines. I seemed to focus on that with the pictures I took, and I want to highlight those ele-ments with the following personal

photographs. I also loved the vary-ing heights and colors of plants. I learned that I really like to be

surprised, and I love to see some-thing pop when it comes to a

landscaped plot; that could be see-ing a perfectly placed Flame Torch Bromeliad or a centered Monkey Puzzle Tree. I love the strate-

gic placement of color, lines, and curves, and I feel like these coun-

tries executed those elements perfectly.

I know that carnivorous plants aren’t generally used when landscaping, but I thought these plants did o good job of depicting coordinating colors.

I noticed a lot of landscaped areas used Fuschia.

The use of natural resources and rock to cre-ate boundaries from the roads made the area look really beautiful. I loved the landscape of In-ishmore because of the use of natural materials.

The lines of this garden at Kylmore Abbey caught my attention the most. Everything is perfectly lined up, and the curves of the plot create a more inviting atmosphere. Everything points to the middle plot that has a Monkey Puzzle Tree as the main event. It is beautifull put together, and I love how the industrial nature of the poles is offset by the natural green growth attached to them.

I noticed that the gardens kept to two colors or coordinating colors when they arranged their flower beds. I think it made it simple and beau-tiful and kept the garden looking cohesive. Here there are two coordinating colors used: purple and yellow. Those are my favorite col-ors and so I was happy to see these flowers.

I liked that there were trees and shrubbery of varied length. The open lawn also served the purpose of any backyard, to have room for outside activity. There weren’t vary many col-ors involved, but the greens are beautiful.

One of my favorite things in life is seeing an area full of trees, and then seeing one different colored tree som-where in the middle of them. I thought this space was beautiful and created a nice, shaded, sitting area.

This was my favorite landscaped area on the trip. It was at Kew and like I mentioned in the be-ginning, I love a different colored tree. This was one of the most beautiful trees I have ever seen, and it was such a hidden gem. I remember sit-ting on that bench for quite a long time just star-ing at that tree. It was so beautiful and the color is breathtaking. The picture does not do it justice.

I like how natural this field of flowers felt. They were so beautiful, and the colors fit in perfectly with the grass.
