Research Intro•Fluorescein

•Rhodamine B

•Fluorescein sodium salt

•UV-Vis

•IR Spectrum

•Gaussian

Preparation of Fluorescents•Finding a good solvent was key in order to get good UV-Vis and IR data.

•Fluorescein and Rhodamine B were diluted with Methanol.

•Fluorescein sodium salt was diluted in water.

•We picked solvents that would dilute the fluorescents thoroughly and solvents that were included in the program Gaussian in order to be able to compare our results.

UV-Vis•Three different UV-Vis spectrums were done for each fluorescent• 1st was done at room temperature• 2nd was done at 0 degrees Celsius• 3rd was done at around 90 degrees Celsius

•We compared all three to try and find any changes
