Becky Anderson is in her fourth year with the UHSAA, currently serving as one of the Assistant Directors with responsibilities over softball, volleyball, drill team, boys’ and girls’ tennis, boys’ and girls’ swimming, and music. Her responsibilities also include the sportsmanship program, UPDATE newsletter, state tournament programs, and the UHSAA Handbook. She represents Section 7 on the NFHS Citizenship and Equity Committee and the NFHS Strategic Planning Committee.

Becky came to the UHSAA after working in the Murray School District for 29 years as a high school teacher, coach and secondary counselor. At Murray High School, she served as the head volleyball, basketball and softball coach for a combined 27 sea-sons. A Utah native, Becky graduated from the University of Utah where she competed on the softball team for four years. She earned a Master’s Degree from Illinois State University and a counseling certificate from the University of Phoenix.

During her free time, Becky enjoys gardening, golfing, hiking, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She believes strongly in the mission of education-based activities and the positive impact participation has on the lives of students.
