VISITING TEACHERS Last week we hosted teachers from Greta Public School and Singleton Public School in some of our classrooms. The teachers came to watch to the amazing learning of our students in reading, writing and mathematics. Thank you to the classes of 1M, 2S, 1P and 6K for hosting our visitors. They were extremely impressed with our teaching and learning. CLASS ORGANISATION 2019 In the next couple of weeks, teachers will begin the enormous task of forming classes for each individual student that are best suited to their learning and social needs. This task is compounded by the nature of ever changing populations of school. To assist our planning, please let the office know immediately if your son or daughter is changing schools. On the first day of school, the executive and office need to confirm the numbers of students who have arrived at school, make follow up phone calls to all families that did not return and confirm with other schools the arrival of new students. Classes will not be formed until this process is completed. As a result, students will begin the year in their 2018 class and move into 2019 classes as soon as possible and when the enrolment confirmation process has been completed. If your child has circumstances that teachers and executive staff need to know in class placement for 2019, please make sure that you provide a written request to the school office before the end of 2018. When formed, classes will be final.

Library News

The Senior students helped wrap up Christmas books to create the Christmas Advent Calendar boxes for Kindergarten. The students in Kinder enjoy selecting and unwrapping a Christmas book to read every day on the count down to the end of the school year. These were delivered to their classrooms today by these Year 5 girls. Parents and carers please remind your children to return their Library books this week.
