Product Description

This user guide is to introduce the usage of HKBN Smart App for Philips Hue

Smart Light Bulb/Strip with smart action examples only. For the following details,

please refer to the instruction in the package:

• Technical specifications;

• Bulb dimensions;

• Packaging dimensions and weight;

• Power consumption;

• Lifetime etc.

Philips Hue Bridge

• Add Device 1. You need to pair the Hue Bridge first before pairing any Hue lighting. 2. You must first connect your phone to a Wi-Fi network which same as

the Hue Bridge when adding device; 3. Tap “Devices” on the bottom menu (image 1); 4. Tap “Add Device” button OR “+” icon at top right corner if you already

have paired device (image 2);

5. Tap “Philips Hue Bridge” from left menu “Philips Hue” (image 3); 6. Power on the Hue Brdige and connect it to the router. Make sure your

mobile phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network, and then tap “Search” (image 4).

7. When the Hue Bridge was found, press the push-link button on the Hue Bridge you want to connect (image 5).

8. HKBN Smart need to access your Philips Hue account in order to control and monitor your Hue system, tap “Next” to the next step (image 6).

9. Login to your Philips Hue account (image 7); 10. Tap “Yes” to trust HKBN Smart App to access your Philips Hue account

to control and monitor your Hue system (image 8);

11. After device added successfully, you can change the device name and assign it to the located room. (You can also change the device name and room location later in device setting page and room management page.) And you can find the related device in the “Device” page.

• Check for Firmware Upgrade Philips Hue does not allow to upgrade firmware by third-party applications. If there is a firmware upgrade available, HKBN Smart App will prompt a message to notice user to access Philips Hue App for updating firmware.

• Remove Device 1. In device settings page, tap “Remove Device” (image 1); 2. Tap “OK” to confirm and remove device from your account (image 2).

Philips Hue Lighting

5. Select your Philips Hue lighting from left menu “Philips Hue” (image 3); 6. Make sure your lighting is on and then tap “Search” (image 4);

7. After found the lightings, you can edit the names by tapping the icon (image 5);

9. After save, you can find the added lights in the Hue Bridge panel. (image 7).

• Switch On/Off

You can remotely switch On/Off your Hue lighting by tapping the On/Off button icon (image 1).

You can remotely control the brightness of your Hue lighting by dragging the scroll bar (image 1).

• White Mode You can pick your preferred color in the color wheel by moving the color

picker. It will show the selected color on the color picker.

• Create/Edit favorite color 1. You can save your favorite color by tapping the icon. You can

save maximum 6 colors (image 1). 2. Tap “Edit” to delete saved color (image 2).

Scene (Smart Action)

The integration of different smart devices is the beauty of smart home living which provides convenience and many possibilities of creating your preferred control settings. By setting SCENE, you can execute different smart devices at the same time by only one single tap. You can tailor make your unique scene such as movie time scene, welcome/back home scene, reading scene etc.

User Voice Command to Turn On/Off Hue lighting

Instructions below explain how to create a Scene:

Automation (Smart Action)

AUTOMATION can carry out device actions automatically by pre-conditions like

environment factors or smart device status. You can handover this complex

and important daily works to HKBN Smart for a convenient and simple living.

Automation included the setting of Temperature, Humidity, Weather and

Schedule as condition to trigger different control in smart devices. Below is the

automation example of Philips Hue lighting:

Turn on lighting at 6:00PM

Instructions below explain how to create an Automation:

1. In “Smart Action” under the

page of “Automation”, tap

“+”to add new Automation,

and then tap “Add Condition”
