Chapter 2

A confused silence had fallen over the children of the

newly formed class ' as they fell in to line behind their

new teacher. )hey marched in single file into the school

and took their place within the surroundings of their new

classroom. )hey were still reeling from the news that rs

/ewis, whom they all liked, had chosen to leave and move

abroad. 7ill nudged Aaron and was about to whisper

something to him when iss ronside

Chapter 3

)he breakHtime bell sounded in its usual shrill manner to

indicate the start of morning break. )he playground

steadily filled with children shouting, screaming and

laughing.7ill left the classroom slowly watching iss ronside

as he did, careful not to draw too much attention to the fact

that he was studying her carefully.

he was sure he could do it. 4e would try and recruit some

help, but he had to be careful as he did not want iss

ronside to find out that he was on to her.)he second day of the new school year began like they

had never been away. After the chaos of the previous day

all was calm. 8veryone knew where they were going and

what to do. 7ill found Aaron and they made their way in

to class and found their seats, still not happy with where

they had to sit. 7hen they had taken their seats they

noticed 8than already at his desk, book and pencil readyneatly in front of him on his desk.

Chapter 5

)he following day at school 7ill was keen to find elissa

so he rushed in to class as fast as he could. As he epected

and dreaded, elissa was sat at her desk facing the front.

4er book and pencil were sat neatly on the desk. 8than was

sat the same way net to elissa and the sight puled the

children coming in as they took their seats. 7ith horror,

7ill realised that iss ronside was doing a child a day

and a desk at a time. 4e 6uickly looked around counting

the children in his class.

;$1, eactly $1,= 7ill uttered as he finished counting.

seat to start the register for that morning.

Breaktime arrived 6uickly. 7ill, Aaron and /ewis were
