Educational Philosophy

My philosophy is a little bit humanistic because I like my class to be student

centered and not teacher centered. In a class room I see myself like a facilitator not like

a dictator that give students the information and they work the way I say, by the contrary

I give the tools and the instructions of what they need to do and they look for a way that

they find more comfortable to do the work. I believe in the group work in all the areas of

learning because each student complement the knowledge of the other. But I still think

in the method that Socrates use of learning by question is a method that implements the

open minded thinking of the student that is my mission as a teacher that the students

reach for their own answers and not forced one. I think that my way of teaching

practicing with tutoring some students had shown me that I can help them by only giving

them the clues of the work and by their previous knowledge catch what they need to do

to succeed in their assignments. That s why I to believe in the individual learning

because I can help deeper a students with their special need to pass. I ll give the helps

and the tools so that students can reach the level in which the other students are. To I m

a person that like the use of technology and implementing it in the classroom will help

me, not substitute me, in the providing materials and medias that can help students

e!pand their critical thinking when discussing a class so the students can take the

control of it and I can function as the guide that I consider myself.
