In order to create a pool of highly qualified and professional policy

makers in the province, Government of the Punjab has decided to launch a

scheme of doctorate scholarships. As approved by the Chief inister, each year

five doctoral scholarships !ill be a!arded to the civil servants !orking !ith the

In order to create a pool of highly qualified and professional policy makers

and e-ecution, and to create an indigenous group of efficient policy analysts. As

approved by the Chief inister, each year five doctoral scholarships !ill be

a!arded to the civil servants !orking !ith the Punjab government.

Secion 3: 8alidi* and D"raion of P7'D Sc7olars7ip Pro$ram:

A!ards are to be considered on the basis of criteria for the provincial civil

service caders i.e. $- PC#, $-P##, P#, (G )at strength of #/GA(*,

P/(%0inance (epartment officers !hich !ill only be tenable at the 78

1niversities of the !orld finali9ed by the competent authority for a ma-imum

period of 0orty $ight )+:* months. &he list of 1niversities is available at

!!!.pndpunjab.gov.pk

6ist of 1niversities !ill be updated by the #election Committee each year

to reflect changes in university ranking.

4.A bond to serve the Government for a period of 3 years, at onestephigher grade and a special salary package. )&here shall be a contractualrelationship bet!een the government and the selected officers regardingthe terms of a!ard, deputation, the bond period for service upon returnand future placement policy*.

47.#hould have scored at least 73@ marks preferably from a foreignuniversities in the asters degree related to the proposed doctorateprogram.

48.#ince the policymaking process involves statistical analysis, the officers!ith previous .#c degrees !ill be preferred over those !ith .A degrees.

4:.Applicants are required to provide an overall I$6 score of 8.3 band orhigher or equivalent &5$06 scores, in a test taken no earlier than ; years

from the closing date of the application.
