Invoices will be sent out at the same time as the bookingconfirmation.Cheques should be made payable to Arun & Chichester CitizensAdvice Bureau. Alternatively, details of how to pay by BACS will be onour invoice.

Your Training Network annual membership fee will automatically endat the end of the 12 month period, unless you choose to renew it.However, if you pay by monthly instalments and wish to cancel yourmembership; you must inform us of your intention to cancel in writingby letter or email. Your cancellation will take affect two months fromthe date of your correspondence.

In the event of a cancellation of a training course by The TrainingNetwork, all fees will be returned, or transferred with youragreement to a later event.

We fully recognise that difficulties do arise from time to time overattendance at a training event. Although we will endeavour to re-bookplaces that are cancelled this cannot be guaranteed the followingconditions will therefore apply to all confirmed bookings:1. Substitutes are acceptable up to the commencement of training.2. Fee will be reimbursed for cancellations before the closing date ofthat course, i.e. 14 days before the course start date.3. Full fee will be non-refundable for cancellations after closing date.4. The Training Network reserves the right to cancel the course, tochange the venue and/or the course facilitators.

Our courses are offered at a discounted price if you become aTraining Network member. Please note that we require at least sixpeople to be able to run a training course.

Training

Debt Overview (half day)This course focuses on the causes and perceptions of debt and the overallprocess of advising someone with debt problems. At the end of this trainingunit you should be able to:

· Deal with your clients debts by using the debt advice process, andbe able to access relevant information using suggested resourcematerials

· Get the full picture of the circumstances i.e the whole situation· Identify emergency situations· Sort the debts into priorities and non priorities· Look to see if they are liable for the debt and refer cases where this

may be in doubt· Help to maximise their income· Discuss essential expenditure to look for ways of making savings· Use the Common Financial Statement Budget/Form and begin to

prepare a financial statement

Financial Capability Overview (half day)By the end of the session learners should be able to:

· Describe some of the sorts financial capability activities that areused in financial capability sessions and which they can use withtheir clients.

· Describe some of the issues that their clients face when managingtheir money

· Describe some of the benefits for their clients of improved financialcapability

· Identify areas for future planning

Welfare Benefits Overview (half day)This is a course for those people who require an introduction to (or areminder of) the Welfare Benefits system. It covers a brief insight into themain benefits and is intended to help people to:

· Understand which of the most common benefits are means tested,contributions based and non means tested

· Understand who administers which benefit· Understand who the most common benefits are for· Identify ‘passporting’ benefits· Understand the basic principles of Universal Credit, and which

‘legacy’ benefits they will replace

Bespoke / Tailor-made trainingIn addition to these courses, we can create bespoke/tailor-made courses.Below are some of the courses we can run:
