Diocesan Pastoral Plan – Builders of Hope
Our Diocesan Plan includes a strand on Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation (JPIC). The goal of the strand is to promote an awareness of the centrality of justice, peace and respect for creation in our faith devel-opment, and to deepen knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching. To launch this strand of the Diocesan Plan, a One-Day Seminar on JPIC will be held on October 18th 2014 at the Bunratty Castle Hotel from 10am – 4.00pm. The day will be facilitated by members of the SMA Justice and Peace Office, Cork. The input at the seminar centres on four modules: 1. Justice in the Old Testament. 2. Justice in the New Testament. 3. Key themes in Catholic Social Teaching. 4. Guidelines on how to estab-lish a local JPIC group. Places at the seminar are limited and booking may be made by contacting [email protected] or the Parish Office.
