Being a pharmacist; we are bound by code of conduct and strict regulations to meet the professional standards. Sometimes few people know that the profession requires one to uphold the standards similar to the medical profession. The license issued to pharmacists holds great responsibility to ensure professionalism. From our humble inception in 2004, Asia Metropolitan University has grown into a full-fledged university offering a wide range of programmes which bears testimony to our impressive track record in the private, higher education landscape in Malaysia.

In line with the recent developments in the industry and within our institution, AMU is focused in producing trained, qualified, competent graduates for domestic and international markets in health sciences, business and management. In the years to come, AMU aims to achieve the “top-of-the-mind choice” globally. Above all, we envision our students to not only come from a diverse range of countries, but also as significant contributors to the international human capital needs.

Currently, AMU provides an educational pathway from foundation studies and diploma programmes for post-secondary school certificate holders as well as bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and doctoral degree programmes. We have revolutionised our approach to ensure a high quality delivery of our academic programmes. Many factors have precipitated our transformation as a private tertiary education institution. A critical dimension of the repositioning is our incessant drive for academic delivery and quality. Besides striving for continuous improvement, we have repositioned ourselves in the changing landscape of the higher education industry to better address the intensified competition in the higher education industry.
