Pharma Pharma Ikon Ikon ISF College of Pharmacy (ISFCP) organized National level Online Pharma Mega Job Fest 2020 on 8 th August, in which 65 eminent companies participated and ISFCP re- ceived 750 registration from students of Pharmacy Colleges across India. Out of which 314 students got shortlisted and placed. The Inaugural event was graced by Dr. B. Suresh, Presi- dent Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), S. Jagjot Singh Sidhu, Member, PCI Punjab, and Sh. Parveen Garg, Chairman ISFCP. The Director and Vice- Principal of ISFCP were also present. Gupta welcomed all participants. The inaugural address delivered by Col. B. Venkat, and the Keynote speaker was Prof (Dr.) Y K Gupta. Later, Prof. N. K. Jain also addressed the partici- pants. Topics covered were Ethics in conducting preclini- cal and clinical research, medi- tation, and yoga for body and mind relaxation. Ethics and Behavioral Sciences for better Pharmaceutical Care. Dr. B S Bhoop was the speaker and chief guest on a valedictory day, and the event ended with thanks by Dr. Daisy Arora, coordinator of the program.

AICTE sponsored six days of online STTP on “Training and Excellence with Ethics and Behavioral Sciences” or-ganized from 17th to 22nd Au-gust 2020. The program aimed to develop ethics and values in participants. Among total registered participants, Fifty-nine participants were from twenty-eight Universi-ties, and one was from the United States of America. Col. B. Dialogue05: Extending the Dialogue Series by ISFCP, Dr. Charan Singh, Associate Pro-fessor, Department of Phar-maceutics, delivered a webinar on the application of Phos-pholipids in Drug Delivery systems in the field of Nano-technology on 24th July 2020. Dr. Arti Associate from the Department of Pharmacology moderated the session. The session started with a welcome address by the Director of ISFCP. Around 1250 partici-pants viewed this session online. Sh. Parveen Garg

(Chairman) and Dr. RK Na-rang congratulated on the suc-cess of the webinar. Dialogue 03: Dr. Daisy Aro-ra, Associate Professor, De-partment of Pharmaceutics, delivered a session on “Basics and application of Biopharma-ceutics in Drug delivery sys-tem” which specifically de-signed to understand the vari-ous Pharmacokinetic parame-ter of the drug delivery system and their significance in the outcome of therapy. Dr. Shankha Bhattacharyya mod-erated the session for dia-

logue. Dialogue 8: Mr. Sourabh Kosey, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice, delivered a session organized a webinar on “Ward Round Participation: A Clini-cal Integration, on 7th August 2020. Dr. Hem Raj moderated the session. Mr. Kosey gave an insight into the ward round and its significance for the practicing pharmacists. The session hosted on the ISFCP YouTube Channel, and Dr. RK Narang, Vice-Principal of the Institute, congratulated the

ATAL Ranking: ISFCP Mo-ga i s ca tegorized as Band “A” Insti tution (Ranked between 06-25) in the category of „Private or Self Financed Col leg-es/Institutes‟ in ATAL Rank-ing of Institutions on Innova-tion Achievement (ARIIA) 2020, announced on e-Release of ARIIA on 18th Aug 2020, by Ministry of Ed-ucation, jointly with MHRD‟s Innovation Cell, and AICTE, Government of India. The

Ranking, primarily based on Innovation Indicators such as IPR, startups, and technology transfers of colleges or Insti-tutes, were considered for the Ranking. Excellence in Teaching Award: Dr. Sankha Battacha-riya, Associate Professor, De-partment of Pharmaceutics, ISFCP Moga, received the “Excellent Teaching in higher Education Award” from Sidra Bahu Udeshiya Vikas Sanstha Maharashtra for his teaching

achievement and his dedica-tion to the profession. MoU: Sh. Neelkamal Dogra, G e n e r a l M a n a g e r o f Polymedical Limited, visited the ISF Analytical Laboratory (ISFAL-NABL CDSCO ap-proved Laboratory) and agreed to collaborate with ISFAL for research participa-tion in the future. ISFCP and Polymedical Limited has signed MoU in the area of drug research and analysis.

Tool Based Workshop with Elsevier: ISFCP collab-orated with Elsevier and or-ganized a Workshop, learning Basics of Publishing in Quali-ty journals on Friday, 14th

August 2020. The objective of this workshop was to fa-cilitate participants with knowledge and awareness about the best practices that need to be applied to in-crease their expertise in the successful submission of arti-

cles to high-quality journals. The workshop widely cov-ered understanding research issues, publishing workflow, finding high impact journals, understanding editors' mind-set, writing research articles effectively with best read quality, and citation of arti-cles. Webinar: The ISFCP Moga and Elsevier jointly conduct-ed a webinar on "Innovative

Data Analytic Tools for Pharmaceutical Research" on 25th July 2020, focused on different tools for experi-mental and new entities in drug research. Dr. Alok Shar-ma, Head of Department of Pharmacognosy, moderated the session, and the Key speaker of the program was Dr. Mandar Bodas, Solution Consultant, Research Solu-tions Life Sciences Elsevier.

The international online con-ference, SPER SPRINGER CON 2020, was jointly orga-nized by SPER and Springer Nature on 1st August 2020, Prof. (Dr.) GD Gupta, Direc-tor ISFCP (President, SPER India), welcome to address the audience of the confer-ence on the theme “Adding value in academic book pub-lishing: role of learned socie-ties and international publish-ers”. Other eminent dignitar-ies were present on occasion,

Dr. YK Gupta, AIIMS Bho-pal, Dr. Naren Aggarwal, Edi-torial Director Springer Na-ture, Prof. (Dr) NK Jain from HS Gaur University, Prof (Dr) Bhupinder Singh Bhoop from PU Chandigarh, Prof (Dr) B. Mishra from BHU, Prof. (Dr) Saranjit Singh from (NIPER Chandigarh), Prof. (Dr) Paul Wan Sia Heng Uni-versity of Singapore, Dr. R.S. Prakashan Chief Scientist CSIR, Dr. Madhurima Kahali Editor, Springer Nature, and

Dr. Upender, Secretary SPER, India. Dr. YK Gupta broadly explained about the transla-tion of data into a great publi-cation product. Dr. Naren Aggarwal put light on how springer can help the authors to reach their actual readers. E-Alumni Meet and National seminar on “Role of Pharma-covigilance in COVID-19” was conducted on the 6th of July. Sh. Parveen Garg, Chair-man ISFCP, inaugurated the program by candle lighting. The Director, Vice Principal of ISFCP, and coordinator of the program accompanied him. The guests of honor was Dr. YK Gupta, AIIMS Bho-pal, and the Chief Guests of

the program was Dr. Jai Par-kash, IPC Ghaziabad. S. Jagjot Singh Sidhu (Member PCI), Mr. Gopal Sharma (President Macleods Pharma), and Mr. Ankur Bansal Drug Inspector CDSCO were vir-tually present. Dr. Gurfateh Singh, President of the Alumni association, welcomed the audience and explained the proceeding of the meet. Around 800 alumni

attended the meeting at the ISFCP YouTube Channel. New Academic Session: Director ISFCP announced academic session 2020-21 commence on 03.08.2020. The new academic session announcement begins with candle lightning and classes for all courses viz. Diploma in Pharmacy, B. Pharmacy, M. Pharmacy, and Pharm. D conducted virtually.

GUEST SPEAKER/WEBINAR Faculty as Resource Per-son: On 5th July, Mr. Sourabh Kosey, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice, appeared as a re-source person in a webinar organized by Bharat Technol-ogy, West Bengal on Topic "Pharmacist on the Frontline: a pandemic response to Covid-19", which was a glance at the role of the phar-macist as Covid-19 warrior during the pandemic Webinar: On 10th July ISF College of Pharmacy conduct-ed a webinar on the topic

“Fundamental Aspects of Research Protocol Design and Alternatives to Animal Experimentation” the emi-nent speaker of this webinar was Dr. Shamsher Singh Ba-jwa, who is working on exper-imental aspects of Neurologi-cal Diseases. Mrs. Sania Grover moderated the session for this webinar. The webinar was hosted on the YouTube Channel of ISFCP and viewed by about 2400 partici-pants. Webinar: ISFCP in collabo-ration with Chaitanya Vikas

Yoga & Nature Cure Centre, Dharwad, organized a webi-nar on “Herbal Drugs and Business Opportunities” on 29th August 2020. Director, Vice Principal ISFCP, and coordinator of webinar Dr. Alok Sharma inagurated the webinar. The key speaker was Dr. S. Badami from Chaitanya Vikas Yoga Dharwad, explain the significance of herbal for-mulation as cosmetics and herbal health products during this Covid-19 outbreak and possible opportunities in herbals.

ONLINE DANCE & SINGING COMPETITION/MEDITATION

Dance and Singing Compe-tition: The students of ISFCP partici-pated in a dance and singing competition organized virtually in the last week of August. Prof. (Dr.) GD Gupta and Miss Seema Brar was the Judg-es for the event. The winners for Singing were Prabhsimran and Abhijeet Bharti, and the Dance winner was Shreya Jain of Pharm. D. They were awarded with certificates.

Meditation Workshop: was organized at ISFCP in associa-tion with Heartfulness Medita-tion. The trainer Smt. Bhupinder Kaur Sandhu Prin-cipal Govt. Senior Secondary School Ghal Kalan and Smt. Parminder Kaur Toor (Trainer) explained that heart-fulness meditation is a simple and modern approach to medi-tation. She delivered the ses-sions using this modern ap-proach in meditation for stress

management and explained all the five steps of the same. Mrs. Parminder Kaur also explained tips for home meditation. The faculty member learned and enjoyed the meditation meth-ods. Mrs. Amarjeet Kaur asso-ciate professor, from the de-partment of pharmaceutical chemistry, was the Coordina-tor for the workshop, and Dr. RK Narang thanked all partici-pants and anticipated it would be beneficial for all.

A Textbook titled “Human Anatomy and Physiology II” for the second semester of B. Pharm, authored by Dr. Sham-sher Singh, Head Department of Pharmacology published at Paging Publisher ISBN:977-883-946-84365. Book provides insight into the basics of Anatomy and the working of different organ systems. The book is useful for students of Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy, and other science streams.

A Textbook on “Pharmacy practice” authored by Mr. Sourabh Kosey, Associate Professor, Drug Information Division, Department of Phar-macy Practice, has been pub-lished by Nirali Prakashan, ISBN: 939022550-7. This book includes 21 chap-ters and appended with short questions and multiple-choice questions. The book was pre-pared as per the PCI Syllabus regulation of the B. Pharm course.

Reviewer: Dr. Vineet Rai had completed every module of the certified peer reviewer course by Elsevier researcher academy on Wednesday, 19th

August 2020. The aim of this course is to enrich the partici-pants about the basics of fun-damentals of the peer-review process and the role of the reviewer at a different level of publication products along with differentiation of sin-gle/double/triple and open peer review.
