19.06.2016 (Monday) – Re-opening of the College (15th Academic Year)
The College Re-opens on 19th June 2017. All
the Students including first years were inside the Campus.
Students were given time table, by lunch students went home.
After lunch faculty member’s meeting was
held to discuss about the responsibilities and the academic
Calendar.
24.06.2017(Saturday) Immaculate Feast
Immaculate Heart of Mary Feast was
celebrated in the college on 24th June 2017. Holy Mass
Conducted by Rev. Fr. Jones from Pondicherry.
All the Faculty members were Joined in this
Celebration. After the Feast day Celebration, lunch provided
for the Staff members by management. Rev.Fr. Jones took
Seminar on “Good Teacher”.
08.07.2017 (Saturday) Parents – Teachers Meeting
On 08.07.2017 parents teachers meeting was
arranged to discuss about the results of the
students. The meeting was between 10.00 am to
01.00 pm
Most of the parents came with their children and
discussed with the faculty members of the
concerned departments regarding the university
exam results and about the progress of the
students.
These parents- teachers meeting is arranged only for the IInd and IIIrd year students.
The rules and regulations followed by our college was very good. It will improve the
students knowledge and personal character.
Some parents suggested that they need our college bus facility for interior villages like,
arumparampattu, Arakkavadi.
19.07.2017(Wednesday) Inauguration of Catechism & Value Education.
On 19.07.2017 Inauguration of Catechism & value
education class took place. Rev. Sr. A.S.lourdu Mary,
General Councilor. Sr. Florian Mary and Sr. Bernard Fatima
have Came to inaugurate the Catechism and Value
education.
Rev. Sr. A.S. LourduMary lead the Catechism class
in Dupuis Multipurpose Hall. She gave many examples from
bible and based on that she gave speech for lead good life as
a Christian.
She also told the history of Fatima Nagar Miracle. In the same time Rev. Fr. Therese
Nathan gave confession for catholic girls.
Rev. Sr. Florina and Rev. Sr. Bernard Fathima lead the Value Education class. The
following thoughts were discussed by them.
Everyone should come out of their Ego. Otherwise it will spoil their life.
Everyone should avoid anger.
Students should obey the words of parents and elders.

22.07.2017(Saturday) Celebrations of Foundation Day, Fresher’s day and Alumnae meet.
Grand Celebration has taken place. The
programe started with the mass at9.30 am
Celebrated by Rev. Fr. Bosco.
After the break the Cultural program were
started. Idhayathulla charitable trust
sangarapuram, Mr. Mariyappan – Former
President of vadasiruvalur, Dr.karuankaran –
Department of English head & Assistant
professor, Govt College, Kallakurichy, Dr.
Ashok Kumar Govt Arts College Kallakurichy
we called for the function.
The function started with holy mass Rev. Fr. Donbosco came and lead the mass.
Carmel Pradeepa – I year took part in theˋ O dream landˊ English song singing. M.
Nambikkai Mary I – year got the cash award for her feedback about chief guest speech.
10 students of our department Alumini came and took part in that function.
They have given vibrant speech. The students were asked to share their touching words
from the chief guest speech.
29.07.17 TO 30.07.2017 NLP PROGRAM (NEURO LINGUSTIC PROGRAM FOR STAFF&
STUDENTS)
The Neuro Linguistic program was conducted for
two days in our college. First thanks to the
management for conducted this program. It was very
useful all the faculty members.
The NLP trainers Mr. Stephen and his wife, Mr.Raja
and Mr. Abdul Vahab (Ex- Miltray Man). These four trainer
giving lot of information’s.
Mr.Raja shared some information about NLP. N-
neurons, L-lingustic language, program – action and
explaining the NLP program.
Mr.Abdul Vahab is shared their life experience and
how they take over their problems and told ʹ Life Will Never
Be the Sameʹ so face it.
Mr. Stephen spoke some small stories with value able message to staffs. What is the
mean of “Belief”.
Afternoon session they were organized some funny game dance; they gave idea, how to
overcome the stress and fear.
Mr. Stephen wife asking some questions to the
faculty members. Our department staff
S. Jeyaseeli answers the questions she won the
prize for a Thirukural book.
In Sunday the NLP was conducted for students.
The students were learned many things from them.
The students were joined with our NLP
programmer and they enjoyed their activities.
05.08.2017 INAGURATION OF PHYSICS ASSOCIATION
On 05.08.2017 our department conducted
“Department of Physics Association” function.
Rev. Sr. Jancy Rani, Dean of Arts, Presided over the function. She delivered the keynote
address.
Mr. R. Raja, Assistant professor, Department of Physics gave the Welcome Address.
Mr. M. Senthil Murugan, Vice principal and H.O.D of computer science delivered the
Presidential Address.
Miss. K. Manimehalai, H.O.D of physics honored the chief guest with shawl and
delivered the keynote address.
Dr. R. Rajasekaran.,Ph.D., The Principal,Aruna Vidhya Arts And Science College,
Kannakurukkai, Thiruvannamalai-(Dist) gave the Chief Guest Address about
‘RECENT TREND IN NANOSCIENCE’.
Miss. C. Anjalai, Assistant professor, Department of Physics delivered the vote of thanks
and the department staffs and students actively participate in the association.

First assessment examination commenced on 07.08.2017 to 11.08.2017 for II-year, III-
year and II –PG. students wrote the examinations for 50 marks in 2-hours.

71ST INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
Date: 15th August 2017
The Immaculate college for Women,
Viriyur celebrated 71st Independence day
on Tuesday 15th August 2017 at college premises in a very colorful manner.
Rev. Sr. Lourdhu Mary was the chief Guest and she hoisted the national flag . Then the
students of all the 7-Departments were participated in the parade. The 23 students from
Physics Department were participated in the parade with the house name of Purple.
The Principal address was given by Rev. Sr. A. Fathima Principal and Secretary of the
college in her address she conveyed about the importance of Independence especially for
the Womens.
THE CHIEF GUEST FOR THE CELEBRATION ARE:

The First speech person of Mr. Pon. Arivazahagan he explained about all the freedom
leaders and fighters and to involve the Independence day celebration.
Then all the invites of 71st Independence day celebration were shared few words about
the freedom and significance of the historic day.
After the special invites talk was over the students were performed the cultural programs
like, Speech, Song and Dance.
The student P. Ezhilarasai from Department of physics was participated in speech
competition and our department students participated various cultural events.
After the cultural programs was over, the students gathered in Department wise.

H.O.D`S MEETING
Date: 21st August 21017
On 21.08.17 the HOD’s meeting was conducted by Rev. Sr. A. Fathima Principal and
Secretary of the college. In this meeting she had instructed the following.
1. Already announced the program for 22nd august 2017 was be postponed.
2. The Holy mass will be conducted on college patroness day on 22nd august 2017.
3. After completed the mass the Lunch will be provided for the faculty members.
The sweet will be given to the students.
4. On 24th august 2017 the special program will be conducted regarding Writers
day.
5. On September 1st All the 7 Departments will be conduced ICW-Writers day and
all the departments publish their department souvenir on that day.
6. The staff members everyday after 3:20 pm to gather department wise and do their
works and it should compulsory inform and go to home.
7. Discussed about the reach out programme and it will be postponed on October
15th 2017.
8. Discussed the Fine Arts Day will be conducted in the college on 06th , 07th
October 2017.
9. The Catechism class for catholic students will b e conducted in the month of
September with the theme is Elaingarkalum Eraivarthaiuam.
10. The Teacher’s Day will be celebrated on 5th September 2017. The students have
to organize the function and events.
11. One day picnic will be organized for the faculty members and if will be an the 2nd
September 2017.
12. The Department of Physics will be Celebrated the Novena on 18th August 2017.
NOVENA CELEBRATION
Date: 18th August 2017
The 3rd day celebrations of Novena held on 18th August 2017.
The Department of Physics was conducted the Prayer today.
The Department Staff and Students were gathered in front of
the Madha Statue and prayed for the welfare of the college.
We ask Jesus and Mary the superior of our congregation so
that the power of the Holy Sprit fills our hearts.
In this Novena can be done by the incorporated and the Staff members by6 the students
who are united with us in Sprit.
After the morning Prayer was over the Staff and students go to their classes and as well
as the classes Starts.
At 3:00 pm all the students gathered near the Founders
Statue including Staff and students for all department
and for thanks giving prayer our department students
read the life history of the college Founder Rev. Fr.
Louis Savenian Dupuis on that moment.
COMMUNITY DAY, ICW-WRITERS DAY, FOUNDER’S DAY
Date: 24th
August 2017
The Immaculate college for Women, Viriyur has
organized the program on 24th August 2017.
The program was conducted by Rev. Sr. A.
Fathima principal and secretary of the college
had discussion with students . The Three Students
from our department had expressed her ideas
namely.

2. L. Lilly Rose - I- Year Physics
3. M. Nambikkai Mary - I Year Physics
After the session the program was started. The welcome address was given by Mr. Bala
Murugan Head & Asst. Professor Dept of B.C.A then the introductory speech about the Chief
guest was given by Rev. Sr. A. Fathima Principal & Secretary of the college.
The chief guest Rev. Fr. A.S. Antony Samy Mr. Anto and Mr. Hussian from Pondicherry in
their speech they shared about the college Founder and his services through Writings towards
Tamil Literature and welfare of the Society. They also shared about their writing experience to
the students.
Then the students form all the department expressed their feedbacks. 3- Students our Department
announced their Title on the Stage namely.

The program happlily ended at 4:30 pm.
PTA MEETING
Date: 31 August 2017
The Department of physics & chemistry has
organized the parents meeting on 31st August
2017 in the college auditorium. The meeting
was stared at 11:00 am the main purpose of
this PTA Meeting was to interact a good
relationship about parents and management &
staff . We discuss variety of issues regarding
all the development of students.
Sr. Lilly Mary Dean of Science in our College. She welcomed all the parents and shared the
following ideas.
1. The first information about the students the sister informed them about the college rules
and timings .
2. She informed the pending fees such as tuition fees , bus fees and Hostel fees . she
insisted the parents to pay the fees as quick as possible.
3. She asked all the parents to pro vide good dress code and healthy foods to their
daughters.
4. She informed the SMS pattern to the parents was indicated by the college is quickest way
to reach the message to the parents.
5. It is the important message she informed about the result of Department of physics for the
last semester and also informed 1st Assessment Examination to the students.
6. She asked the parents to checkout whether their daughters have studied or not at home.
Mr. R. Raja Head, Department of Physics had informed the following points.
7. He asked the parents to check their daughter will take the breakfast (or) not.
8. He informed the scholarship for the minority students and SC , ST, the Govt to give the
amount for the study purpose. In this college only to collect the scholarship amount and
send the student account in any bank.
9. Informed them about UG and PG admission and asked them to bring the admission to the
college.
10. Instructed regarding the leave letter by the students asked the parents to watch their
daughters in avoided.
11. Conveyed the result percentage of the department to the parents.
The Parents Feedback;
12. In Examination timing (days) the college bus to provide the all the bus routes it is very
useful for the students.
13. To change the college timing at morning to helps to students breakfast and many students
are coming long distance.
14. In hostel any important message to the parents to convey the message to the Hostel
students.
15. The above remarks have been taken for consideration.
Total Strength of parents in Physics Department Students is 73 Members.
Finally the meeting was ended at 1.10 pm.
TEACHERS DAY
DATE: 05 .09.17
The teacher’s
day was celebrated on 05 September 2017 in a
grand manner in our college. All the faculty
members one by one are welcomed by their
respective department students. Rev. Sr. A.
Famitha the principal and secretary of the college
talked about faculty members and advised to be a
good teacher to students to institution and to the
society.
The program was started with prayer. The prayer had conducted by Rev. Sr.
Lilly Mary and Sr. Jancy Rani Dean of studies (Science) and Dean of studies
(Arts) from their respective department students come forward and talked
about the faculty with their individual talents which was inspired the students

The students conducted different games for their faculty members in common
game namely musical chair, Balloon game, word game and dance competition.
The program came to end by 4.00pmwith National Anthem. After the
celebration was over, faculty members were offered gift from management.
I expressed my sincere thanks to the management on behalf of department for
having conducted the Teachers Day in grand manner for us.
DATE: 08.09.17 BIOGRAPHY OF MOTHER MARY
In the morning at 9.15 am all the staffs and students are gathered in front of the
mother Mary statue. Rev. Sr A.Fathima principal and secretary of ICW Viriyur to
delivered the speech about biography of mother Mary. The students and staff
members wish to the mother Mary for her birthday.

attended the NLP program in our
college auditorium at [9.00 am to 5.00
pm].
Neuro Linguistic program was
conducted by Mr.Stephen &Co. to the
faculties, on 30th to the students.
Energy is within us. The positive
energy will boost the body, mind &
soul .Therefore the entire system
generates well.
The NLP boosted the staff and students to face the challenges in optimistic manner.

On 20th September 2017 “SIGRAM FOUNDATION”
members came to the college campus the members are:

program”.
The 1st Year students are attended in first two periods in the multipurpose Hall. After the
Break 2nd Year, 3rd Year and P.G. students are attended the same program. The program was
conducted for the purpose of :
To develop on communication skill
How can to face the interview
How to prepare the Gove.
Examination.
Example(TNPSC, TRB and all Bank
Exams)
Finally the motivation program is ended
at 1:30 pm. At 3:20 p.m. the faculty member
arranged the task and bench for assessment 2nd examination with the help of hostel students.

23.09.2017 NSS AWARENESS PROGRAM
The NSS camp was held on 23.09.2017 was conducted
by NSS coordinator Mr. N. Kannan and his committee and all
H.O.D. the NSS students of our department were gathered in
front of the administrative block. Sister Sr.Lilly Mary
instructed the role of NSS camp and the students were asked
to do service in their our adopted village is S. Kulathur. The
management provided vehicle for NSS Camp to reach S.
Kulathur.
Under the guidance of H.O.D Miss K.Manimehalai and Mr. R. Raja the students to met
A. Jesintha Head Master of Govt. middle school S. Kulathur and M. Shanmuga priya
V.A.O OF S. Kulathur Village. First we cleaned the school campus the places are:

Then students gone for a Rally. The Rally was inaugurated by A. Jesintha Head Master at
the same time M. shanmuga priva V.A.O participated in Rally. The student were saying

After the rally awareness program was conducted about cleanness, one of the our
department student M. Priyadharshini II P.G. gave speech about
“CLEAN INDIA POLICY”
The A. Jesintha Head Master explained the
cleanness of society. The vote of thanks was
given by Miss. K. Manimehalai. Finally the
awareness program ended with National
Anthem at 12:55 pm.

After 3:20 pm all the faculty members gathered in the administrative Block. Rev Sr. Lilly
Mary gave the Department activities list to our department H.O.D
DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES:
Preparing study materials
Encouraging the pupils to have interactive learning and made discussion interactive
sessions on textbooks, reference books and group exercise
Organize course work for multiple course work at a time
Organizing and being in charge of examination doing proper invigilation of exam.
Carrying out assessments of students academic works [ regular class tests, seminars ,

To motivate the students to actively participate in the after college activities.
Monitoring the performance of pupils in the class and providing encouragement to those
who need additional help.
Assisting in the college and department events like trips sports events etc.,

Responsible for lesson planning and assessing work in secure pupils progress.
Preparing classes and delivering coherent lecture.
Delivering whole college assembling when required students practice.

28.09.2017 AYUTHA POOJA CELEBRATION
The II assessment examination was over today.
After the examination was over the students of
physics cleaned the class rooms, Labs,
Auditorium, and desk and benches arrangement
along the guidance of the faculty members.
All the students gathered in front of Assisi
statue to conducted the prayer and singing a
song along with the students. At 2:30 pm all the
students gathered in front of administrative
black. To celebrate “Ayutha Pooja Celebration”. The bus drivers did the Pooja work
celebrate with staff and students.
Rev. Fr. Robert Parish Priest from
kanangkadu came over here and conducted the prayer
after the prayer was over the Blessed all the class
room, Laboratories, Hostel, Multipurpose Hall. The
program ends at 3:30 pm.
29.09.2017
The Immaculate college for Women,
viriyur conducted catechism class on 29th
&30th September 2017 in the
multipurpose Hall and college
Auditorium. Our department catholic
students of ICW had attended the
program.
The Chief Guest was Rev. Fr. Theresa
Nathan he has started the session at 9.45
am. During his talk he mentioned about
the history of saint Francis of Assisi and explained his testament to the students. The
students actively took part in the session. He conducted his talk at 1:30pm.
The afternoon session started at 2:15 pm the chief guest of this session was Rev. Fr. John
Kennedy. He started many things from Bible and he explained the basis of Catholicism.
He told and interacted with the students during his talk. The students was enjoyed his
session, he took class on second day also.
The first day afternoon session started our department Catholicism in charge staff Mrs. S.
Jeysseeli to delivered the welcome address. The second day [30 September 2017] in our
department faculty staff Mrs. A. Rosy Periyanayagam to gave the vote of thanks . the
afternoon session Finally ended at 2:00 pm.

29.09.2017 AICUF MEETING:
From 29th September 2017 to 01st
October 2017, The Immaculate college for
Women Viriyur Organized the All India
Catholic University Federation (AICUF) in
the college auditorium.
Mr. Savariraj AICUF co-coordinator
of ICW welcomed the students along with
the faculty members. The program was
started at 5:30 pm . AICUF students
gathered together in the college Auditorium.
They had the discussion with the theme of “Leadership Skills”. They shared their opinions and
feedbacks with each other. That day our department responsibilities for common Notice Board,
Reception, Kolam, rangoli, our department staff do their works.

On 30th September 2017 Mrs. S. Jeyaseeli and Mrs.
A. Rosy Periyanayagam were attended the International
conference for
“Louis Savinien Dupuis and His Contribution to catholic
church and Tamil Society” (1840-1874) at
VENUE: IDHAYA COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE
PAKKAMUDYANPET, PONDICHERRY
This International conference was conducted in 2-days. It is very useful for the catholic
students and staff.
03 OCT-2017
On 3rd oct-2017 our department faculty miss k. Manimehalai asst. professor along with a
students they were gone to perambalur to attend the national seminar on “RECENT TRENDS IN
ADVANCED MATERIALS” [RTAM-2017] at Thanthi Hans rover college [AUTONAMUS] –
PERAMBALUR and also our students did presented the PPT on that seminar. On that occasion
M. Priyadharshini, II – M.Sc Physics won prize and certificate and remaining student were got
the participation certificate

The bible and value education day was
conducted in our college. Department wise we

poem etc. the chief guest are Miss Amala. Mrs.

One Day Picnic [27.01.2018] Sathanur Vellore
The Sathanur Dam is one of the dams constructed across the pennaiyar River. sathanur dam
about 30 KMS from Thiruvannamalai Town. It was constructed in 1958. There is a crocodile
farm where hundreds of cross are housed as well. The capacity of the reservoir is over 300
million m3 and fills a depth of 119 feet when full.

OBSERVATORY” situated at Javadu Hills, Thiruvannamalai Distict.
There the students saw the demo for working of 234m Telescope. And the
