At the rear, the sportiness and dynamism of the 207 SW is emphasised by the treatment of the lightsand tailgate, which suggest volume and strength. 1.6 VTi 120 bhpThis 1,598 cc injection enginehas a willing personality andreally helps you enjoy thehandling prowess of your 207.It’s high power output gives itsharp acceleration for intensedriving pleasure, particularly inthe automatic gearbox version.

Peugeot now offers an extended range oflow-emission vehicles; more than half itsworldwide sales relate to vehicles that emitless than 140g of CO2 per km. Thisperformance is based on proventechnologies in which Peugeot is the leader,

such as the diesel engine combined with theparticle emission filter (FAP) which isavailable on a wide range of vehicles andhas been fitted to 2.1 million vehicles, givinga 99.99% reduction in particle emissions.

FUEL CONSUMPTION AND EMISSIONS (DIESEL)

The  Particle Emission Filter(FAP)HDi technology is associatedwith a very efficient emissioncontrol system, the ParticleEmission Filter (FAP). Peugeotwas the first manufacturer toequip some of its vehicles asstandard with this system. Thefilter eliminates diesel particlesonce and for all, reducing themto the measurable limit (0.004 g/km). The FAP is a self-cleaning system that

neutralises the gases producedby the combustion of diesel fuelin the engine.

Gear shift indicator* This indicator helps you dosomething for the environmentby helping you to select theappropriate gear at any time andso achieving the lowest possibleconsumption.*Available on engines with a manual gearbox.

207 Oxygo / Oxygo+The 207 Hatchback is fitted witha 1.6 HDi 92 bhp FAP Dieselengine that only emits 98 g of CO2/km, making this versionthe most environmentallyfriendly in the 207 range.

Energy saver tyres Energy saver tyres are fitted tomany versions of 207 and 207SW. The design of these tyresreduces the rolling resistanceand therefore the quantity of fuel

needed to propel the vehicle,while retaining a dynamic drivingexperience.

Braking system and ESP®*To retain optimal balance andpreserve your driving pleasurein all difficult situations, the 207and 207 SW come with acomprehensive braking systemthat combines several functions:• Anti-lock braking (ABS) gives

you better control of any lossof grip under emergencybraking conditions.

• Electronic Brake ForceDistribution (EBFD) managesthe braking on individualwheels for greater efficiency,particularly when braking incorners.

• Emergency Brake Assist (EBA)maximises the efficiency ofyour braking in an emergencysituation.

In addition to the threepreceding functions, ESP®*(Electronic Stability Program /Dynamic Stability Control)provides two extra functions:• Traction control (ASR) acts on

the brakes and enginemanagement to limit wheelslip in the event of loss oftraction.

• Dynamic Stability Control(DSC) continuously comparesthe information transmitted bythe steering wheel sensor andthe yaw sensor to detect anyundersteer or oversteer. It thenreturns your 207 to its initialtrajectory, as far as the lawsof physics allow.

SSP System**(Steering StabilityProgram) This technology combineselectric power steering andESP®*. This function exploits thebraking potential of the vehicleto the maximum, increasing itsstability and reducing stoppingdistances.

Automatic operation of thehazard warning  lights In the event of sharp braking,the hazard warning lights comeon automatically, to make otherroad users aware.*Available as standard or as an optionaccording to version.

Reinforced body structureThe 207 and 207 SW have astructure with integratedcrumple zones, calculated toabsorb as much as possible ofthe energy generated in animpact.A second absorption beam infront of the engine subframegives protection in a frontalimpact and furtherreinforcements in the front andrear doors improve theabsorbtion of side impacts.

AirbagsThe protection offered tooccupants is supplemented by:• driver and passenger front air

bags whose deployment isrelative to the intensity ofimpact,

• front side air bags intended toprotect the chest, abdomenand pelvis of the driver andfront passenger,

Isofix mounting pointsYou can install a child seat usingthe isofix mounting points: therear side seats are equippedwith two ISOFIX 3-point fixingsand the front passenger seathas a switch for de-activatingthe front air bag so that a rear-facing child seat can be installedsafely.
