    Rower -Bulb Specialists $1.50

  • Naturalizing Daffodils and Narcissi in Grass, etc. Most Daffodils and Narcissi are suitable for naturalizing but in very heavy soils; preference should be given to stronger growing kinds, e.g. Trumpet varieties and many Large-Cupped. They are all admirably adaptable for grassy slopes and banks, where they should be freely planted, A splendid effect is obtained when Trumpet and other varieties are grouped separately, scattered on the ground and planted where they fall.

HEIGHT — The heights given in inches are as recorded at our nurseries.

DEPTH TO PLANT — Failures with bulbs are most frequently due to their having been planted too deeply or too shallow. A good general rule to follow is to cover the bulb with soil one and a half to twice its own depth, measuring the bulb from the base to shoulder. Thus a daffodil bulb measuring two inches from base to shoulder should be covered with 3-4 inches of soil.

BULB PLANTERS THE FAST WAY TO PLANT YOUR BULBS

These special chrome plated steel planters remove just the right amount of soil with one motion. Saves time and eases the work. Planters will not break or bend, even under constant use. Attractive and durable. Takes guess-work out of bulb plant-ing. Drills one to four inch holes accurately. 7000 $5.25
