Official Document Writing Course (CorrespondenceandMinuteofMeeting)Series1&22015The Division of Personnel Management Services with the cooperation of the Division of Human Resource Development, has organized two series of Official Document Writing Course. The first series was conducted on 22nd & 3rd June 2015 at Palace Hotel, Kota Kinabalu. A 36 participants have successfully attended the course. The course was facilitated by Mdm Kasima Salindri of Dewan Bahasa Dan Pustaka Sabah Branch, Kota Kinabalu. The second series of the course was held on 15th & 16th June 2015 at MB Hotel, Tawau attended by 41 participants.

Mdm Tengku Fauziah Binti Ku Mat also from Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka Sabah Branch, Kota Kinabalu was entrusted to facilitate the course.

2. RetirementSeminarThe Retirement Seminar for 2015 was held on 29th January at Promenade Hotel, Kota Kinabalu. Mr. Mohd. Hekam Bin Terimo, the Chief Assistant Director, Pension Division of Public Services Department Malaysia, Kota Kinabalu was invited to facilitate the seminar. The main objective of the seminar is to recognise the pensioners for their services rendered to the department and the State Government in particular. The pensioners were also given the opportunity to raise questions and doubts prior to their retirement.

3. Personnel Management Services DivisionMeetingWithOfficersRetiringin2016and2017The Division has conducted meeting sessions with officers retiring in 2016 and 2017. The sessions were initiated to facilitate the application for mandatory retirement of the officers. Prior to the signing of the retirement documents, the officers were briefed by the Head of Division on matters relating to their pre and post retirement. The officers were also given the opportunity to interact with the officers of the Division and assistance was rendered to them in completing the forms required for the purpose of retirement.

On 24th April 2015 a retirement briefing session was held at Kota Kinabalu District Forestry Office.

DestructionofPublicRecordsReportIn 2015, the Department Record Valuation Committee conducted the disposal of records in one (1) office as illustrated at the District Forestry Office, Tawau. The records are no longer worthwhile or needed. A total of 687 records have been sorted and disposed. The destruction of these records was witnessed by the officers from the Department of Archives Sabah.

f. SabahForestryDepartmentIntegrityProgramme2015Three (3) Integrity Programmes were conducted in 2015. The first programme was held on 22nd October 2015 at the Auditorium. This was followed by the second programme held on 27 October 2015 at MB Hotel Tawau. The third programme was conducted at Conference Room, Kota Kinabalu District Forestry Office. Averagely, 30 officers of various grades have attended each programme. The attendance indicated that the awareness on moral values among civil servants has increased. The integrity Programmes were commitly facilitated by Mr. Miskon Simin (former Rakan Integriti Perkhidmatan Awam), Mr. Musa Salleh (newly appointed Rakan Integriti Perkhidmatan Awam) and Mr. Adrian Rawlenes. The topics presented by the facilitators were as follows:

Current Environment3. Safety and Cleanliness of Government Premises

Conserving the Integrity of Government Information in Current Environment concerns with the control and prevention of risks of information leakages which is now more challenging compared to the past. This is due to misuse of technology by certain irresponsible quarters. Thus, it is the obligation of government servants to uphold the safety and integrity of government information to avoid leakages, intrusion and manipulation of government information which is a menace to national safety and peace. Safety and Cleanliness of Government Premises played an important role in nurturing the culture of integrity among government servants. Adaptation of some important elements is essential to support this effort. Among them is to ensure the cleanliness of government premises is satisfactorily conducive. Apart from that, the guidelines stipulated in the government safety order concerning safety of the premises is adhered to. Personnel Management Services Division is in cooperation with Human Resource Development Division in organising Integrity Programmes of the department.
