EYFS Teacher – Maternity Leave Cover – Period of up to one year or the return of the post holder (which ever is first)

Please find enclosed an application form and details for the post of EYFS Teacher at this school. This post is available from 2nd May 2017 to cover a period of maternity leave. We are looking for a teacher with recent experience of working within an EYFS setting.

Threemilestone Primary is a school with a good local and citywide reputation, which is oversubscribed in a number of year groups. Our roll is growing!

BACKGROUND FOR PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATES:

THE SCHOOLThreemilestone Primary School is a popular school on the outskirts of Truro. Some of our year groups are over subscribed and our roll is growing.

Our classes are currently arranged in 14 single aged parallel classes.

The building and grounds are part of the PFI contract and are well maintained. The learning environment is warm and welcoming. We have a lot of outdoor space which we like to use as much as possible.

There is a privately run pre-school on our school site and we have a popular and often over-subscribed breakfast and after school club.

THE CURRICULUMOur curriculum is taught in a topic based approach. We place the child at the heart of all our activities.

OUR ETHOSOur moto is ‘At Threemilestone School we are all CREW, not passengers’ and our main values of Confidence, Respect, Enjoyment and Wonder are based on this. We have high expectations of all our children and the staff who work with them.

Areas of responsibility and key tasks:A Planning, teaching and class management, to:Be committed to a child centred approach to learning in which the child is encouraged to beautonomous and learns from first-hand experience.
