• The term "Persia(n)" derives from the Greek and is based on the Ancient Greek reference to the whole region. Which region of the world are we talking about? Explain further.

• "Farsi" is the Arabic equivalent for the name of the southwestern province of Parsa the locus what does this word mean? of various Persian dynasties.

What is the history of Persian language?

• Between 550-350 BCE Parsi or Persian was the language of Parsa people. Parsa people ruled Iran. This language belongs to the Indo-Iranian group of languages. What are the other languages in the Indo-Iranian language group? It became the language of Persian Empire and widely spoken from the borders of India in the east, Russian in the north, the southern shores of the Persian Gulf, and Egypt.
