Team Trainer Pershing Lacrosse is partnering with the
Sports Medicine Group of Baylor College of Medicine
We will have a medical trainer at all home games
Team dues go towards trainer cost
Team Assignments Pershing is fielding two lacrosse teams: 7/8 team (7th/8th graders) YG team (5th/6th graders)
Pershing teams scheduled to play 18-20 games this season
About half of the games are played at Pershing
For home games, locker room will be open Games scheduled against similar teams/clubs Above all else, we are a FAMILY.
Practices Pershing practices 6 hours a week (2 hrs x 3
days) on Pershing Football field Practice officially starts at 4:15pm Consequences for those players who are late A note from a teacher is required if at tutorials
Talk to Coach Burgan about an athletic locker Take gear home on Friday if we have away
games on the weekend It is acceptable to miss practice for tutorials, notify

LAX gear, jerseys, and apparel Each player is required to have: Full set of lacrosse gear (~$225 for gear) Pershing game jersey & pinnie ($65) Cleats (football, soccer or lacrosse) Athletic cup and mouth-guard Slider shorts

Team/Player Expectations Each player must put in the time
Wall ball Throwing the ball around with others during the week (Parents!!)
Player expectations: On the field
Attend all practices and games Attend all tournaments Practice on your own Respect teammates, coaches, officials, and rules Postive conduct and language
Off the field Maintain passing grades (A’s & B’s preferred) Respect teachers, school staff, and other students Respect parents and siblings and YOURSELF Positive conduct and language

Player Code of Conduct We don’t cut players. We do ask players to leave the team for disciplinary
reasons. For example:
Fighting in school, at practice, or games Bullying teammates or other students Repeated school suspensions Disrespecting the coaches, referees or teammates Not following rules and/or direction at practices and/or games Foul language at school, practices, or games Being a negative distraction at practices and/or games
Before asking a player to leave, there is a 3-strike rule. Strike 1 – Call to parents Strike 2 – Player/Coach/Parent Contract Strike 3 – Removal from team
