He perseveres constantly.  Josmar came to my classroom without speaking English.  He was quiet and quite reserve.  As time has passed, Josmar has taken the initiative to learn as much English as he possibly can.  He constantly asks questions when he does not understand and raises his hand to answer questions that his teacher asks.  Even though he may not have the correct answer, he never gives up...he continues to try until he succeeds.  Hooray for Josmar!

He has grown by 10 reading levels this year, has become a true mathematics wizard, went from barely writing to just recently finishing his own book, and has developed into a little gentleman and good citizen in our classroom. This transformation has not been easy for him but never did Ciron give up or stop trying, which is why he is the true essence of perseverance!
